Newly released emails show Lois Lerner warned her colleagues to be careful what they write in emails because the Congress wants to read them
Newly released emails appear to show Lois Lerner warning her colleagues to be careful what they write in emails because the Congress has been asking for the documents.
Here is what her warning said:
I had a question today about OCS [Microsoft Office Communications Server]. I was cautioning folks about email and how we have had several occasions where Congress has asked for emails and there has been an electronic search for responsive emails–so we need to be cautious about what we say in emails. Someone asked if OCS conversations were also searchable–I don’t know, but told them I would get back to them. Do you know?
When Lois Lerner was informed that OCS communications were not automatically saved she replied “perfect.” One has to wonder why, if Lois Lerner and the IRS were doing nothing wrong, was she so concerned about what was written in these emails?
One can also reasonably assume that once Lois Lerner found out OCS was a safe–from her perspective–means of communication that all of the conversations which would be most helpful and relevant to assisting in this investigation took place on OCS and are therefore not going to be recovered.
This email was sent just days after the IRS Inspector General notified the IRS of the upcoming audit. Do you still believe that all of the emails between the IRS and other government agencies before this time were innocently lost in a very convenient computer crash?

When Obama talked about transparency so many years ago, he meant to his eyes only.

I haven’t heard anything from tingles in quite awhile, perhaps the thrill is finally gone.

Funny. Make a good ‘Rap song’ … well, not good, rather satire.

I heard about this, we will see if there is anything to it or if it is another ploy to make it look like they are doing something.
