Barack Obama says he won’t visit the border because he isn’t interested in photo ops, Texas Democrat counters with “we don’t need to have photos”
Barack Obama has no intention of visiting the border in the midst of his manufactured illegal immigration crisis and he has made that all too clear in recent days. His latest excuse? He isn’t interested in photo ops. So says the man who has been interested in photo ops at least 35 times, and this list does not include the photo op with Chris Christie in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy or the selfie he took at Nelson Mandela’s funeral.
Texas Democrat Henry Cuellar has been very vocal in his opposition to Barack Obama on this issue, so much so that he claims he received an angry phone call from the White House, and now he has another message for Barack Obama: “we don’t need to have photos.”
“I’m hoping that if he doesn’t make it this time, that sometime in the future he can go in. We don’t need to have photos,” Cuellar told Fox News. He also noted that some Border Patrol stations “don’t allow cameras, so we don’t have to worry about cameras there.”
It is interesting to note here that Barack Obama’s first thought was about himself, as is evidenced by his excuse that this would be a photo op, when he should be more concerned with what is going on at the border and what the Border Patrol Agents are going through as a result of his policies.
Henry Cuellar seems to agree:
Cuellar said he wants Obama to visit the overwhelmed border “so he can talk to the young kids”; give the Border Patrol “a pat for the great work that they’re doing”; and thank the “poor communities on the border” for the burdens they’re bearing.
But of course Barack Obama already knows what the Border Patrol and the communities are going through because he engineered it in the first place.

What a piece of S**t. The Campaigner-in-Chief LIVES for photo ops. Every one of his endless speeches are filmed in front of a perfectly selected background. What Dennis Prager said this morning is that so far, the press has ignored the border issue, as they ignore everything the Prez doesn’t like. BUT if he DOES go to the border, then they have to cover that, and thus cover the issue and take the chance of informing the public. Neither one of them want that.

That is a good point, he stands nothing to gain by going to the border other than putting the focus on it and he would just assume the MSM stays silent on this issue.

This statement by Obama is the height of hypocrisy. All the man is ever interested in is himself.

A great photo-op would be for Obama riding a the front of the train.

I am thinking that this is Mexico’s problem, but most likely we will start sending buses down there to pick these people up and bring them here. Does anyone else think this might happen? After all, they were headed here, weren’t they? This is something the current administration would pull and throw it in our faces, because it is “for the children”….what about OUR children and grandchildren?

Yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised to see that happen. It is a humanitarian crisis after all. 😉

I did see it, at least it happened on the other side of the border.
