Latest New Hampshire poll shows Scott Brown closing the gap on Jeanne Shaheen
Back in May a poll was released which showed carpetbagger Scott Brown trailing a should-be vulnerable Jeanne Shaheen by 12 percentage points–47-35.
Now a new poll is out and it shows the former Massachusetts Senator has closed the gap by a few points. Scott Brown now trails Jeanne Shaheen by a margin of 8 points at 50-42 percent.
So the race is tightening a bit as the election draws closer and this poll will likely give Scott Brown some ammo to use against his primary opponents. (He still does face a primary election, even though it appears to be a foregone conclusion.)
If the gap continues to close, even slightly, as the primary draws closer Scott Brown will be able to use it as proof that he is the one who has the best chance at beating Jeanne Shaheen. In fact that is what I expect him to say about this latest poll.
Not that it really matters though, here is how the primary poll looks:
Brown held a commanding lead in the GOP primary breakdown, winning the support of 61 percent of 556 likely Republican primary voters surveyed, compared to 16 percent for former U.S. Sen. Bob Smith and 10 percent for former state Sen. Jim Rubens.
It sure is good to have the establishment behind you…

I have followed and understand your feelings toward Brown, and we have more than enough problems here on the left coast so I will leave Brown to you. But ultimately, isn’t Brown better than Shaheen?

Yes he would be but not by much. His primary opponents are claiming he voted with the Democrats 75% of the time, if this is true it means he in only 25% better than Shaheen. That makes he and she not all that much different in my opinion and when you figure in that he cannot be trusted on issues such as the second amendment that makes him even closer to Shaheen in my opinion.

Will you New Hamoshites find out he is for illegal amnesty and for giving billions to Obama for Nikes and soccer balls and pampers for the disease carrying brats from Central America before or after the election? LOL

Yeah, I guess we will have to find out the hard way!

Looks like it will be something that is better than nothing. He did clog up Obamacare for bit. Hard to find a lining to this cloud. But….

Yeah, he cannot be faulted for failing to stop Obamacare because of the tricks used to pass it. I am tired of voting for the lesser of two evils and I always claim I am not going to do it again but in the end I do. I swear this time it will be different but we will see what happens when November rolls around.

Sadly you’re right Bunker and the only answer to the liberal scum is a RINO fence sitter.

At least the liberals are honest (somewhat) about who they are, with Brown you just don’t know…
