Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will “hug it out” at a fundraiser

August 12, 2014

I have to be honest; although I have not had the time to write about it, I have been enjoying the little spat which has developed between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama over the last several days as the presidential hopeful tries to distance herself from a president who is growing more unpopular by the day.

It all started when Hillary Clinton was interviewed and was critical of Barack Obama’s lack of leadership in the Middle East, which she said led to the rise of ISIS:

The failure to help build up a credible fighting force of the people who were the originators of the protests against Assad—there were Islamists, there were secularists, there was everything in the middle—the failure to do that left a big vacuum, which the jihadists have now filled,”

Apparently she forgot, or she wanted the American people to forget, she was part of the Obama regime during this time. This was not lost on Team Obama, which fired back by calling criticism of his foreign policy “horseshit.”

Well, apparently somebody got to Hillary Clinton for she has now reached out to Barack Obama and looks forward to “hugging it out” at a fundraiser they will both be attending.

Like any two friends who have to deal with the public eye, she looks forward to hugging it out when she they see each other tomorrow night,”

Why the sudden change of heart? Could it be Barack Obama’s NSA has the goods on her? Or the CIA? Or perhaps she has seen the way the Obama regime uses the IRS to target his opponents…

The truth is, in my opinion, she was feeling the heat from the liberal base in the Democratic party. Here is more on that:

Hillary Clinton is giving some liberals flashbacks to 2008, and not in a good way.

Progressives are wincing over Clinton’s foreign policy comments in a blockbuster interview with The Atlantic, saying her statements are excessively hawkish and reminiscent of her past support for the war in Iraq.

But for many liberals, whose enthusiasm will be important if she runs again for president in 2016, her comments simply felt like code for Bush-era interventionism.

“She basically seems to be taking positions that are very similar to the vision of America’s role in the world that [in 2008] Democrats rejected,” explained Michael Cohen, a fellow at the progressive Century Foundation. That approach, he said, was “out of touch with Democrats in 2008, and it’s out of touch now.”

“Clinton may think she can write off the anti-interventionist left — again — and win the White House this time,” Walsh warned. “But she may find out she’s wrong this time, too.”

Hillary Clinton understands that Barack Obama is about as popular at this point in his presidency as was George Bush at the same point in time in his presidency so she thought it would be beneficial to herself put some distance between her and the president.

However in doing so it became apparent that she risked losing the Democratic base, many of  whom are already in love with Elizabeth Warren, and becaue she cannot win without the base she had to crawl back to Barack Obama with her tail between her legs in an attempt to save her political ambitions.

“…there were Islamists, there were secularists, there was everything in the middle—the failure to do that left a big vacuum…”

She and her Saudi and Qatari friends sure did their share to arm them. Isn’t that what led to the Benghazi fiasco?

For my post tomorrow, I have a clip of Hillary supporting Assad as well as the rest of these wacko birds with all of their :stupid stuff”! She and Kerry insisted that Assad was a reformer.

Great vintage ad! Did you notice the toys were made by Marx? I had forgotten that. Fitting if these two take to the ring!

Yes, I did notice that (giving it a side glance of recognition) … glad you mentioned it! Apropos – displaying the commie mindset behind it all!
A Strange ‘coincidence!’ … as you state ‘fitting’.

I figured you did! It caught me by surprise because I forgot about it, and when I knew about it I was young myself and had no idea about Marx.

If we are lucky, the hugfest will be sumo style and they will both run out of gas.
