The Department of Justice is giving money from the Bank of America settlement to liberal groups
Eric Holder’s Department of Injustice filed a lawsuit against Bank of America which resulted in an out of court settlement of roughly $17 billions. It is now being reported here that the Injustice Department is funneling some of that money to liberal activist groups.
Here is more:
Judicial Watch reports that the Department of Justice is giving liberal activist groups money from a $16.6 billion settlement with Bank of America.
The groups benefitting from the lawsuit, according to Investor’s Business Daily, are the National Council of La Raza, Operation Hope, National Community Reinvestment Coalition, and Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America. The money also went to “delinquent borrowers” in Chicago, Oakland, Detroit, Philadelphia, and other major “Democrat strongholds.”
“This is a wealth redistribution scheme disguised as a lawsuit,” Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, told The Daily Caller. “And who benefits from the distribution? Interest groups the administration relies on, outside interest groups, allies and politicians in communities trying to benefit as well.”
Fitton noted that these liberal groups are basically what’s left of the Association of Community Organization for Reform Now (ACORN) network, and that President Barack Obama has ties to ACORN.
Supporters of this move will claim that if these organizations were hurt by Bank of America policies than they are entitled to a fair portion of the settlement and I will not argue that point.
However, and I think you all know where I am going with this, what about the people and the organizations which were hurt by the IRS targeting scandal? Where is their justice?
The Department of Injustice is quick to go after organizations and corporations when it is beneficial to the Obama regime yet seem to have no interest in getting to the bottom of scandals which could help the opposition, and this explains to me the reason why Eric Holder sees no need to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the IRS.
great…thanks a LOT, Steve…just when I thought I couldn’t hate this administration any more, you have to go and tell us about this…sheesh! Seriously though, this is incredible. It’s like this administration isn’t even trying to hide their corruption anymore…

The same as what he has done with the billions of dollars in other penalties he has collected.
On Page 5 of “Annex 2″ of the recently released consent order, you’ll find this little gem: The Justice Department mandates that JPMorgan fork over any unclaimed or unpaid consumer damages to a nonprofit group that finances Acorn clones and other shakedown groups.
They stand to reap millions. The “consumer relief” portion of the deal by itself totals $4 billion.
If the government “determines that a shortfall in that obligation remains as of Dec. 31, 2017,” the agreement states, “JPMorgan shall make a compensatory payment in cash in an amount equal to the shortfall to NeighborWorks America to provide housing counseling, neighborhood stabilization, foreclosure prevention or similar programs.”
Potentially billions could be distributed to Democrat activists through NeighborWorks, a government-funded “affordable housing” group that supports a national network of left-wing community organizers operating in the same vein as Acorn.

Yep, really sick of see that guy smug face – I’m surprised though that he got that one over ‘Mob of America’ … wonder what’s under the table on that one? Money laundering or something – they’re both from the same cut of cloth just seems ‘strange’.

At least we know the regime will be open, honest, and transparent on where all this money is going…NOT!

The irony is that this settlement stems from the DoJ charges that BoA defrauded their investors in mortgage back securities. But, the people BoA defrauded didn’t see a dime.

A good point! The regime is taking care of the activists but those who were actually hurt by this are seeing nothing.
