Firewall with Bill Whittle: Tie-Dyed Tyranny

September 12, 2014

Here is the latest Firewall video by Bill Whittle entitled ‘Tie-Dyed Tyranny.’ In this latest video Mr. Whittle talks about the environmentalists and how they are now gaining control over what a person can do on what was once his or her private property. “The bludgeon of control and extortion under the fig leaf of ecology.”

The bureaucrats have their own agendas and can no longer be controlled by the 535 people we elect to run this country. Actually, it has been that way for the last two or three decades. This is why elections are nearly meaningless.

It’s like receiving a fine everytime you fart on your coach and the End of the Baked Beans Industry (loose –loose) system.

“Lunacy” noun [from Latin luna, the moon.] insanity; mental disorder. Law: unsoundness of mind sufficient to incapacitate one for civil transactions.
Explains why trying to ‘reason’ with them doesn’t work. It’s a mental deficiency – like moldy bread – not safe to touch or eat of.

On another site, a study was talked about that said one of the things the left is more likely to do than the right is to question authority. As I pointed out there, this sure hasn’t been the case for the last 6 years, and it is clear it hasn’t been the case in Washington for a very long time. The left only questions the authority they DON’T agree with. If you are on their side, you can do anything you want. As Bill rightly says, the tie-dye tyranny truly is the left wing equivalent of a hit squad.

That was the left’s philosophy when they were out of power but now that they are in power they do not think anyone should question them. Funny how that works, isn’t it?

Makes you wonder if ANYTHING really belongs to us, doesn’t it? We have homes, but if we do not pay the taxes, we lose them, hmmmm. If we own them, why DO we have to pay property taxes in the first place? Don’t we own the land, as well? I know most people do not own the mineral or oil rights anymore, not sure but think that once the property is sold, the grandfathered in rights go by the wayside? Anyone know for sure? My granddads property still had the “rights” on it, but was split up in so many pieces, that it was sold off. Just another way of making sure we do not get what we are entitled to, I guess.
As for what Mr. Whittle was speaking of, I imagine there are alot of things that we do that we do not KNOW are illegal, but seems there are more and more people out there willing and able to point this out to us, at a “cost” to us. What a world, huh? Land of the Free??? Not anymore, it seems.

In reality we are only renters and the government is the landlord, if we break the rules they create we soon find out the truth about who owns the land.

Lou, they take away our “God given” rights and then sell them back to us, and we say thank, hit me again. I am ashamed to say I am part of the “tie-dyed” generation who brought us this mess. I was in college from ’71-’76. Looking back now, it was clear that the seeds were being sown. What you have to know is that this bunch NEVER believed in capitalism, private property rights, competition, or liberty. And now that they are the bureaucratic aristocracy, they are going to “level the playing field” as they so love to say..

Bruce, I started in 72 at SIU-Edwardsville in Illinois. I remember the professors, the COOL ones were all liberal, laid back, long haired, sat ON their desks, not AT them. I was an Anthropology major, so we went on a lot of “digs” at Cahokia Mounds when they were still allowing the excavations. That was to be COOL. Worked in the lab with all the “bones”, it was happening then!! I was the generation of “hippy” from high school into college, but I cannot say where the turning point was for me becoming a conservative, guess I just grew up, started a family, had bills to pay and responsibilities. However, I had a lot of friends that have still to this day been stuck in the 60-70’s time slot. I wore the bell bottoms, midriff tops, platform shoes, had hair to my waist and wore a lot of mascara and hoop earrings,,,haha! Those were the good old days! Who knew someday I would become a middle aged grandma (still wearing jeans), we were never going to get old! As the Springstein song went,…Born to Be Wild………….

Funny how starting a family and paying bill can change your opinion, isn’t it? This is why the left needs to get as many people as possible on the government dole. But of course somebody has to pay for it and of course that will be us.
