Rush Limbaugh claims Ebola in America is being downplayed because it threatens amnesty

October 2, 2014

Regular readers of America’s Watchtower understand how I feel about Rush Limbaugh: I do not like him and I have stated my reasons several times in the past so I will not repeat them in this post.

However sometimes he nails it and in this case he did so he deserves some props today.

It was not all that long ago that the President addressed the United Nations about the threat of Ebola, claiming it could cause a “humanitarian crisis” in the region which could turn into a global threat.

“If this epidemic is not stopped, this disease could cause a humanitarian catastrophe across the region,” Obama said in a speech Thursday at the United Nations. “In an era when regional crises can quickly become global threats, stopping Ebola is in the interests of the entire world.”

However now that Ebola has reached the United States the threat to American citizens is being downplayed. Why the sudden reversal when the threat is now within our borders?

Rush nailed it, this is all about protecting the possibility of passing amnesty. Here is what he said:

Ebola, a killer virus is political,” Limbaugh said. “We’re in the process of having it politicized. The left politicizes everything. The Democrat Party politicizes everything – everything is politicized … you know? What does Ebola threaten right now? And don’t say ‘the American people and their health’ because that’s not how it’s being looked at. Ebola is threatening amnesty. Amnesty is desire number one politically by the Democrat Party – and hell, Republican Party, too for all we know.”

“Amnesty – the Washington establishment political class wants amnesty,” he continued. “That equals open borders. Ebola is a giant threat to that. So therefore Ebola has to be positioned as insignificant, much ado about nothing, nothing to see here, don’t worry about it, we’ve got it, it’s in control, it’s all in Africa, we’re dealing with it. Ebola threatens amnesty

During the debate on amnesty nobody seems to be talking about the possibility of communicable diseases being brought into this country, and while this case is not about illegal immigration it might serve to remind the American people that if immigrants are allowed to waltz over the border unscreened that this could just be the beginning and the ruling class elite cannot let the American people make that connection.

While Rush, for whom my mixed feelings mirror those of yours Steve, has nailed it, “it” is something of an understatement. Many of us in the blogosphere with a limited voice had the same slant on this issue from day one. This is one more crisis eclipsing the last crisis ISIS just as ISIS did for the crisis before whatever that was. At this moment it escapes me. Those of sound mind, unlike the empty suited talking heads in the media, assume the worst at all times as regards ulterior motives and a hidden agenda from this president and the shadow president ValJar. Unlike the milktoast kinda right wing bunch on FOX Rush doesn’t mince words.

I have felt that way as well and I had started another post on this issue but never finished it. When Rush mentioned it I thought I could use it to post what I had been thinking. Also, you are right about this being another distraction.

Well, my take on it is that while it was still over in foreign countries, we could send money/aid and stick our nose in “from a distance”. Now that is is here,I think like probably the rest of you, it is going to touch alot of people that ordinarily would be backing Obama, totally. We also have the fact that we are dealing with the virus that is starting to kill our children that has to be kept out of the news. All the TB outbreaks and etc, along with the Ebola scare, must be downplayed at all cost. The problem is, when people start getting scared, they are going to come out fighting and when it starts affecting the kids, there is a greater problem! Obama has opened up a can of worms, or Pandoras box, take your pick. I am not sure he can talk his way out of this one. When it affects “health”, people stand up and start listening. When it was the other guy that was getting hit then it was no big deal. Scared people do strange things they would not ordinarily do. They probably should start beefing that security up around the White House right about now, pissed off parents might be on the march to DC!

I think he has boxed himself into a corner on this one, and when coupled with the security fiasco (although I am still not certain this was not a staged event) people are finally starting to realize that Obama has spread the incompetence around.

You know I am really starting to get pissed off. We are now going to send up to 4,000 troops (not the 3,000 we had been told) over to “the Ebola area” to set up training, etc. at OUR expense, no doubt. What the hell are they doing to these men and women? Giving them a small amount of training and they are supposed to be experts on the ebola virus? I can only imagine they are thinking, this is NOT what they enlisted in the service for. What are their families thinking with them going into God only knows what mess? We cannot send them to our borders to secure them, OH NO! But, we can send them to some foreign country to take care of their problems. Where is the logic here? Have I missed something? The CDC head says we cannot shut down our borders or stop flights coming in, why not? I guess we will just start spreading this disease, along with all the other crap that has come across the borders recently. What is wrong with people???

Sending troops over there to fight Ebola has me worried and angry as well. I hope and pray that none of our heroes catch this.

Isn’t it amazing. A new crisis every week. There was a time when I struggled to find something to do a post on.

The least couple of weeks before last week I found it tough to find things to write about, but it picked up last week and this week there is more than enough to write about. Somehow I wish it were slow again because all the news is bad.

If it wasn’t so dangerous, what is happening, I would be laughing at all the screw ups this Administration has done…they just keeping digging deeper and deeper….IF they only affected themselves, it would be fine, but they are involving us, as well. That is just not acceptable. What will it take for Congress to stand up for US?

Steve, bad news is something we can deal with, this is DANGEROUS news that will have very, very bad end results. I am sure, at some point the wrong person will be brought into what is going on and maybe we might see someone take this whole Administration to the wood shed!!!! So much for them being so much more intelligent than the rest of us, if that is intelligence, I will pass. I like me just like I am, a good person that has some morals and ethics, something I cannot say about any of them. To go on tv today and just lie about what is going on with a straight face takes a special kind of demon!!!!

You are right Lou, it is beyond bad because it is dangerous. We knew that eventually his inexperience and his ineptitude would catch up with him. Once the first card fell the implosion would begin and I think we are seeing that now. Blaming the intelligence agencies when he was ignoring them all along might have been the fatal mistake. I just hope he does not take us all down with him.

Yep, Bunker, this is an Administration that keeps on giving! Our military is supposed to protect us, but then again, look what they are having our border patrol do….changing diapers and baking birthday cakes. So much for America, we are gong down hill very fast!

I think there is also the possibility that it is being kept low key not only because it threatens amnesty it also threatens illegal immigration as well. Remember our business leaders love illegal immigration for the cheap labor. If we close that pipeline, that would disrupt the market that they so carefully created.

I agree with that. When I talk about amnesty I am also talking about illegal immigration but in reality they are two separate issues.

One does depend on the other as one would not be a problem if the other did not exist. However, within amnesty I think there is two issues there as I think that some that should be allowed to work towards citizenship as they were not given any choice to come here.
