IRS wins major court ruling in Tea Party targeting scandal

October 25, 2014

IRSThis story is a few days old but I have not had a chance to get to it until now, so here goes. Last week the IRS won a major court decision over the Tea Party groups which were suing the corrupt agency when Judge Reggie Walton threw out most of the charges.

But what is interesting about this ruling is why the judge ruled the way he did: He did not throw the charges out because this targeting scandal did not happen, but rather he threw the charges out because he claims the IRS is not doing it any more so there is no need to go forward with the case.

  Here is more:

The IRS may have inadvertently figured out how to win its legal battles against aggrieved tea party groups: Give them what they wanted in the first place — tax-exempt status.

That was a major reason a Republican-appointed federal judge on Thursday threw out two lawsuits brought by more than 40 conservative groups seeking remedies for being singled out in the tea party targeting scandal, a victory for the IRS.

Judge Reggie Walton of the U.S. District Court of the District of Columbia dismissed almost all counts brought against the tax-collecting agency in two cases, ruling that both were essentially moot now that the IRS granted the groups their tax-exempt status that had been held up for years.

It is all very well that these groups finally got what they wanted but it is just a little too late at this point because the IRS and the Obama regime also got what they wanted when these groups were allegedly targeted in the first place–a delay in status until after the election. Where is the justice for the years of harassment and the lost opportunity?

“You get targeted and harassed for three years but, oh, because you finally get [tax-exempt status], the three years of harassment doesn’t mean anything?” asked Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), who heads a congressional subpanel investigating the controversy. “I find that argument lacking tremendously in light of what these people went through.”

And besides, the IRS has already moved into the next phase of the plan and are going to simply audit, and make life miserable, for the Obama regime’s opponents instead. [See here and here]

Anytime Obola smiles you know it ain’t Good. When the crooked put in crooked judges, the rulings are crooked. Change the ‘con change’ is the answer – how? It only takes a small few of integrity and resourcefulness to get the job done.

Zip, you are “assuming” there are still some judges with integrity that want to get into this mess? There are many people I know are qualified, but stay out of it because their lives would be torn to shreds, whether it was true or not, by this administration. Cannot blame them for staying out of it.

My thinking was more on the level of ‘behind the scene’ action – Co-Op work. Similar to what Clancy wrote about before they knocked him off.

We can only hope there are those people doing insider stuff. If not, we know the ones out in the open are not contributing very much.

I also wonder how much integrity is left in the world today…

Integrity is one of the very foundational values that are being stripped away – like open pit gold or diamond mining – retracting the quality and leaving the waste or no value.

SO, what they are saying if IF you go out and do something illegal, if at the time you are taken to court you are no longer doing it, you will not be prosecuted? Can you imagine the can of worms THAT will open up as a basis for a defense? As long as I am not doing something at present time, the past is inconsequential? Interesting! I have to wonder WHO put these judges in office? Hmmmm?

Wow Lou, I hadn’t even thought of that but you are right. Doesn’t this open up something for other cases down the road?

Roberts illegally trafficked children out of Ireland so he could adopt them, that is what is being held over his head. And then there is Petraeus: he fell in line with the Benghazi lie because of his little secret before his conscience got to him and he came clean.

With judge Walton’s faux pas (fricked up) (CYA) attitude, one could commit murder after raping the woman . . . as long as one didn’t do it again.

It will be interesting to see if people start using the “I am not doing it anymore” defense!

This one ought to be sprinkled on roses – IT’S BULLSHIT!

Where do these judges get their legal theories?

OT My husband and I went out to eat tonight with a friend. While we were sitting there talking politics, there was a gentleman at the table in back of us that leaned over to ask us some political questions. He said he was a life long Democrat, but this Nov, he was changing to Republican. He asked about the people we have running in Illinois and asked our opinion on them. He said there are more of his friends that are doing the same, they feel let down by Obama and the Democrats.

Then there’s hope. When you examine the Dems record in recent years, they really have not done a lot of good for anyone with the exception of Obama campaign donors who needed government funding right before they declared bankruptcy.

Steve and Dr. J., yes I believe there is hope, at least as far as peoples minds being made up on who they will be voting for. I still see the voter fraud issue as something that is in the fore front of problems for us. Maybe if enough people are paying attention this will not happen, but I think we will be seeing it raise it ugly head next Tuesday.
