Afterburner with Bill Whittle: My Top 5 Conservative principles

November 6, 2014

Here is the latest Afterburner video by Bill Whittle entitled ‘My Top 5 Conservative Principles.’ At over 11 minutes it is longer than his usual videos but is well worth it. In this video, as the name implies, he lists what his top 5 conservative principles are. His take on wealth creation is brilliant in my opinion.

So what do you think of his list? Do you agree with him of would you substitute one of his principles with another? This could make for a great discussion.

  Enjoy:

Whittle has released some really good videos in the last few weeks. He’s always good, but this latest stuff is the best.

I’ll add one little change to the wealth ideas though. No matter which economic system you favor, there are only 3 sources for generating, not gathering, wealth.

    They are:

    1) Mining – extract or gather raw materials.
    2) Farming – growing food. (I’ll let someone else decide which category fishing belongs in.)
    3) Manufacturing – Adding value by forming or combining raw materials into products of greater value than the raw materials.

Things, like banking and transportation, are parasitic, but necessary functions. They have a symbiotic relationship with the primary sources. As a parasite, the banker or truck driver takes a portion of the wealth being financed or transported. As a necessary symbiot, The finance and transportation are necessary to get the products of the wealth producers to market.

You can generate real wealth just by promoting farming, mining or manufacturing. Anything else gathers wealth to you, but doesn’t actually generate new wealth.

And to expand it a little more, the industries such as transportation which benefit also bring in other workers such as mechanics so everyone is helped in the big picture.

        Right.

        It’s an ecosystem.

That’s just a thumbnail of the most basic elements. There are symbiotic elements, parasitic elements and elements that are both in differing proportions.

It’s the underlying structure of any society or economic system.

Steve, Bill brings up about the Bolshevik Revolution, just wondering IF you had a chance to watch Dr. Zhivago?? Would be a good thing to do over the winter when you get snowed in. (hint-hint)!

It’s funny, I always hear Liberals screaming about Rush Limbaugh. They rarely mention Ann Coulter or Michelle Malkin.

I don’t think they even know who Bill Whittle and Andrew Klavan are, yet Whittle and Klavan are widely respected. They are far more important opinion makers than Limbaugh.

Whittle’s been on a roll lately with some of his best videos ever.

Klavan, is usually funny, but as of lately, he has been a bit more serious with a twist! Whittle is right on the mark when he speaks.

I wonder how many liberals write Whittle off having never heard him. It is true he uses sarcasm and wit to make his points but they are valid points if only the left would listen to what he is saying.
