Open thread for Sunday, November 9th: Don’t Tread on Me
Here is the open thread for Sunday, November 9th. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.
We discussed another 14 issues this week, did you miss any? If so there is an easy way to make sure you do not miss another post. I understand that all of you are busy and cannot always find the time to check the blog for updates so why not subscribe to America’s Watchtower and receive email updates whenever I write a new post? That is the easiest way to follow the blog to ensure you never miss another post.
In addition to subscribing you can also follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. But you will get more than that for I often post links to articles I probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is happening.
The Twitter widget in the sidebar is fully interactive. This widget updates my tweets in real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. It also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!?
Last Tuesday the voters sent a clear message to Barack Obama and the Democrats: Don’t tread on me!

Well Steve, I feel you’re not a empty ear, otherwise I didn’t bother, but there is such a richness of sounds,So many choices, that there are not enough Sunday. So I like to continue.. with some Other Voices

Always glad to hear the Sunday “songs”! Gives us a break once in awhile from the other “stuff”!
Having said that, I am starting to worry about the Senate and House top guys coming out with “iffy” comments about how they are going to handle Obama. They are already telling him no Government shut down, what??? I see it slipping to wanting to cooperate with Obama and we know that cannot happen. We put them there to say NO NO NO! What did they not understand about that? Now Obama wants to do bi-partisan with the right, doesn’t that send up a red flag to our guys? It should. If it doesn’t then we know they had planned on getting along, all along. Why, oh why, can’t we put people in those top positions that will not make any concessions to what “the people” want? Is that asking too much of them? What are they gaining from doing all this feel good stuff? Obama had a dinner for them, how nice, now are we supposed to just forgive and forget the last 6 years? I have not and I am sure you have not, either! I imagine we are going to see more battling of the Rinos and the Tea Party members going on. That should give the media plenty to report on. There surely has to be some in both chambers that will step up and put Boehner and McConnell in line and hold them back from wanting to get along with the left. I cannot believe they have forgotten the “I WON” comment to John McCain from Obama. Wasn’t that a smack in the face? Oh well, they will do what they want, we only have to sit back and pay their salaries!

The NYT is also reporting the establishment is preparing to go after the conservatives in the party, after seeing what Boehner did to them the last time around I do not doubt this is true.
