White House to GOP on climate change: “I don’t believe they can stop us”

November 17, 2014

barack-obama  It is becoming quite obvious that Barack Obama does not give a damn that the American people rejected his agenda in the mid-term election.

After suffering such an historic defeat at the ballot box most people would feel a little humbled but not this president. Instead he is angered by what he feels, to quote Jonathan Gruber, is the stupidity of the American voter and he has decided to double down to show us who is in charge. It is quite infantile, yet dangerous, if you ask me but what would you expect from somebody who is used to getting everything he wants through his entire life?

Barack Obama has made the decision to rule by dictate: We already know that he is going to move forward on amnesty on his own and now it is being reported that he had a message for the Republicans on climate change–try to stop me.

  Here is more:

The White House on Monday essentially dared Republicans to try and stop President Obama’s climate-change agenda, with officials bragging that even after the GOP takes control of the Senate in January, there is nothing that can be done to stop a host of controversial new actions.

On a conference call with reporters, White House counselor John Podesta said the administration will move ahead on the issue despite Republican efforts to stand in the way. He even called out incoming Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell by name, saying the Kentucky Republican will not succeed in trying to slow executive action on global warming.

“I believe the president will complete actions. It is a top priority of his and I don’t believe they can stop us,” Mr. Podesta said. “Not withstanding Sen. McConnell making this a top priority to leave the status quo, to leave the air dirtier.”

What Barack Obama forgets, for as a constitutional lawyer I have to believe he knew at one point, is that the legislative and judicial branches are EQUAL branches of the government meant to ensure that one person does not have too much power.

The constitution was written the way it was to stop a president from doing what Barack Obama is threatening to do but does the White House have a point?

Can the Republicans stop him? Or perhaps more accurately, do they have the will to stop him? If they do want to stop him the only option the Republicans have is to not fund his policies but do they have the courage? I do not think they do so is it any wonder he is taunting them…

As one commentator stated, Obama hasn’t figured out how “suckey” it is going to be with the GOP controlling the Congress. It looks at this point that Sessions is going to control the budget process in the Senate and wring some of this nonsense out .Boehner may not have as much influence now with the Senate in GOP hands. At this point, the more the merrier, let’s rumble and have Obama aggravate everyone and let’s see how this plays out. At least we will know our answer if this Country can be saved.

Let’s hope Obama finds out how sucky it can be! Hopefully the GOP will stand up to him. Boehner couldn’t but you are right, perhaps with the Senate controlled by Republicans he will have no choice but to go after Obama.

I just love how this unelected progressive hack has the balls to dictate policy to a newly elected congress and not a soul in the media says a word.

Bobby Jindal, on a question about trying to stop Obama’s executive order on immigration (amnesty), responded: “I don’t think the President should shut down the government.” I think that should be the Republican response every time Obama threatens to pick up his pen or his phone. Make him own the threat of shutting down the government.

That is a great idea, make him own it! However the MSM will always try to portray this as the GOP as the ones who are shutting down the government and I think they fear this.

As we said before Steve, Barry O-blame-a thought elections had consequences when is suited his purposes. But like a reprimanded child, the consequences this time is a petulant child who will cry till he gets his way.

I’m just hoping the Republicans are better than we think they are. We’re running out of options.

There are a lot of new faces in Congress, who were elected in opposition to Obama. Time for the Republican leadership to grow a pair.

That is true, perhaps we are used to the old guard but we need to give the new guys some time. The question is will the establishment get to them and reign them in?
