Open thread for Sunday, December 7th: The Mob Rules
Here is the open thread for Sunday, December 7th. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.
Another week and another 16 posts, did you miss any of them? If so there is an easy way to make sure it does not happen again. I understand that all of you are busy and cannot always find the time to check the blog for updates so why not subscribe to America’s Watchtower and receive email updates whenever I write a new post? That is the easiest way to follow the blog to ensure you never miss another post.
In addition to subscribing you can also follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. But you will get more than that for I often post links to articles I probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is happening.
The Twitter widget in the sidebar is fully interactive. This widget updates my tweets in real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. It also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!?
This week’s musical selection is dedicated to the Ferguson protesters rioters. Here is Dio performing the Black Sabbath classic “The Mob Rules” live in 1984.
Here are the lyrics, I think they are fitting:
Close the city and tell the people that something’s coming to call
Death and darkness are rushing forward to take a bite from the wall, oh
You’ve nothing to say
They’re breaking away
If you listen to fools…
The Mob Rules
The Mob Rules
Kill the spirit and you’ll be blinded, the end is always the same
Play with fire, you burn your fingers and lose your hold of the flame, oh
It’s over, it’s done
The end is begun
If you listen to fools…
The Mob Rules
You’ve nothing to say
Oh, They’re breaking away
If you listen to fools…
Break the circle and stop the movement, the wheel is thrown to the ground
Just remember it might start rolling and take you right back around
You’re all fools!
The Mob Rules!
Enjoy:

Here is something under the category of anything: New York City has horse drawn carriages in and around Central Park, a long standing tradition. The horses are treated well re: feeding and housing. Not unlike most unionized workers they are indeed treated well. Sworn into office January 1st, 2014, one of newly elected mayor Bill de Blasio’s top priorities was to end the horse drawn carriage trade citing cruelty to animals. You can guess the rest. While no news outlet anywhere on the planet earth is apparently not interested in reporting the whole story Mayor Bill de Blasio, a self proclaimed socialist and card carrying communist who married his pygmy wife in Cuba, is huckstering for this in order to sell the stables at bargain basement prices to his capitalist buddy in order to build condominiums. Bill de Blasio, self proclaimed socialist, card carrying communist, is mayor in the world’s capital of finance, banking and trade. Ya can’t make this shit up… As long as he plays nice with the banks he will have an unencumbered career in New York and national politics. If his pal Obama can stay on for a third term the sky is the limit for this piece of human garbage.
here is one of many links to this story: http://www.thenewamerican.com/reviews/opinion/item/17334-is-bill-de-blasio-trading-horses-for-money.

Peter, I know we have to say that De Blasio is New York’s problem and he IS, however it trickles down to all of us. Same as the border, people say WE don’t live down there, but they will still have to deal with the problem when they show up in their neighborhoods. Now take a look at Ferguson, I know it is in the Mid-west and after all who lives there!!! Well I do and I am about 100 miles from there, but we have the empowered ones right here in my city pulling stuff because they think they are untouchable like they are in Ferguson. Problem is, these Mid-west boys and girls are packing and will not put up with what is going on in the bigger cities. There is going to be a big blow up coming and I see Obama, Jackson, Sharpton and Holder attached to it. I guess it was just too easy that most people just want to live their lives and not constantly be reminded that we are so different by these shit disturbers!!! They are the ones that have brought this on, along with the lo life scum that will not get a job and want the hand outs! They will be little soldiers for whoever pays the most. People will rue the day that they were so politically/racially correct and voted this Administration into office.

Lou, you are right that we can’t assume there will be no consequences of a self proclaimed Communist mayor running his mouth off. Like that old quote from Pastor Martin Niemoller starts off, “First They Came for the Jews…”
If we don’t speak up, nobody will.

I have heard a little bit about this but I have not followed it closely. Lou you are right, this might only affect NYC but this mindset is spreading across the country and has been inculcated in our youth. We can expect more of this as time goes on.

:…December 7, 1941, a day that will live in infamy…” NOT! Instead, we get the Chucklehead-In-Chief whipping up the leftists in an endless screed of what is wrong with America. The white youth have it so good, they have nothing better to do than whine and protest. This is what happens when the leader of a country has nothing but contempt for that country.

Does anyone fly flags anymore? We have ours up along with the yellow “do not tread on me” flag below it. Today, the 7th, flags should be at half mast, but doubt most will be. I live in a sizable neighborhood, there is our flag up on a big pole out back, our 85 years old neighbor has his and there is one at the end of our street. Maybe if more people showed pride in their country we would not have the crap going on. My son lives in Arkansas, is going to be 35 and has the same flags we have, so there is still hope for the younger generation. However, it makes me feel good to look out back and see the AMERICAN flag flying for as long as they will let us do it. What really pisses me off is Walmart, I have to go in there once in awhile and tell them their flag up on top of the store is so frayed, it needs to come down, folded and disposed of properly (either at the fire station or one of the American Legion posts, etc.)….most the time the manager will take care of it, but not without being told. It is a shame.

It is the RIGHT thing to do, Bruce. Some days it seems as if the whole world has gone crazy, doesn’t it?

You know, I was sitting here thinking (ya I know, I do that sometimes)! When we were in our 20’s in college we had the liberal teachers, they were the COOL ones that were trying to shape our minds. Then came the babies and just trying to get by on a day to day basis with high interest rates and lots of kids homework, etc. By the time the 30’s came, we were still trying to get by, but it was easier than it had been, still doing kid stuff along with trying to juggle working, saving for the future and voting that was more researched than we had done before. Then the 40’s came and it seemed that political stuff was starting to surface more because we had freed up time that we started seeing what was going on in the world more around us. Then the kids left, we were in our 50’s, very politically involved by then. Now we are going into our 60’s and I bet there are alot of us that wish we had opened up our eyes earlier in life to what was being done to us…I guess back then, we were busy just living life and trying to survive. When we were young we trusted the Government to do what was right for American! Now……??? I do not know of any better way to describe it than this.

Lou, normally I fly both the US and the Gadsden flag all year round, however a storm last Winter took my flag pole down and because I had to replace my roof this year I have not had the cash to replace it. Hopefully in the Spring I will be able to get a new flag pole up, I really miss seeing Old Glory flying in the breeze.

Bruce, did you see the white college student who got mugged at gunpoint and then wrote an article about how he deserved it because he is white? That sums up the mentality of the youth right there and it is depressing.

They are shaming the white students, that seems “racist”, but I have been known to be wrong a few times in my vast years😈

Exactly and I don’t know if we can turn this around but I suppose we have to keep trying…

If I knew how to use a computer, I would have forwarded or linked an article I got from some source where Chris Rock is telling the white man we need to “own the actions of our ancestors”. He said it may be unfair, but it is also unfair we get to have the money our ancestors stole.
So Chris, I will own that my great grandfather left Ireland due to famine. I will own that he homesteaded some land and worked like hell to grow a crop. I will own that everything was lost during the depression and my grandfather lived in a tent picking walnuts in Ione CA to earn a few pennies. I own that all my uncles volunteered to fight in WWII. I own the fact that my mother sacrificed everything to get us a good education.
So Chris, put that in your racist pipe and choke on it!

I have seen a couple of headlines recently about this but have not read them. Why can’t entertainers just stick to what they do best? Why do they thing anyone cares what they have to say?

Here is a good article about the HR5759 bill. It seems that Boehner has slipped in a few juicy tidbits that were not there when he got the Republicans to back the bill. Will it do any good to call our Representatives/Senators on this now? Who the hell knows. I knew that Boehner was bad news, but his House voted him back in as Speaker, so what do you do? Anyway, read what you can of this article until you start raising your blood pressure then just accept the fact we are screwed by our own people. Nice way to start off Monday morning, isn’t it?

I read this as well and if there was any question as to which side Boehner is on there should be no more!
