Open thread for Sunday, December 21st: White Christmas
Here is the open thread for Sunday, December 21st. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.
This week we discussed 13 stories, did you miss any of them? If so there is an easy way to make sure it does not happen again. I understand that all of you are busy and cannot always find the time to check the blog for updates so why not subscribe to America’s Watchtower and receive email updates whenever I write a new post? That is the easiest way to follow the blog to ensure you never miss another post.
In addition to subscribing you can also follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. But you will get more than that for I often post links to articles I probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is happening.
The Twitter widget in the sidebar is fully interactive. This widget updates my tweets in real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. It also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!?
You have probably already figured out what the musical selection for this week is; being that this is the last open thread before Christmas I decided to share Bing Crosby and Martha Mears (the actress in the movie is Marjorie Reynolds but apparently she did not actually do the vocals in this song) singing “White Christmas” from the 1942 movie Holiday Inn.
Enjoy and Merry Christmas:

I continue my Top Ten . 10 : B52’s 9: UK SUBS
8 Enrico Caruso
Caruso, I discover Caruso in The God Father 2, he is making a Concert, Then came a guy dress in white, make it difficult to ear.
Later on De Niro kill that guy in white and get for himself and his self a better life.
I’m a fan ever since,

I think my top three for Opera in the male category would be:1,Mario Lanza, 2, Placido Domingo, 3,Luciano Pavoratti. I know there are many more greats, but that would be the top of my list.

Well, I have heard of numbers 2 and 3 but I cannot say I am an expert on opera. 🙂

No Expert either, but when the voice rejoin the living, there is something, and that make ALL the difference

As we enter into those days known as a racist White Christmas it warms the cockles of my heart knowing that my racist white son who teaches in a school for “special education students” will once again go into the Paterson, NJ ghettos delivering racist Christmas gifts to the underprivileged mostly black children. But have no fear since the teachers, 15 in number, go together in the morning hours while the predators who are usually copping zzz’s until the afternoon hours are in their beds fast asleep dreaming happy dreams about the messiah vacationing for 15 days-there’s that number again- in Hawaii on the working man’s tax dollars while the world burns.

Best Christmas wishes to your son, and all those who have ALWAYS been charitable and kind, and looked out for others IN SPITE of the lies from the race hustlers, including the Whiner-in-Chief.
NOBODY from the left has publicly condemned the marches calling for killing cops, so it should be no surprise that 2 have been killed SO FAR! I pray that the police union sticks to there demand that Comrade Blaseo stay away from the services.
And the ultimate irony is that the 2 cops WEREN’T white! The very thing the race hustlers are demanding-more people of color on the force-is what the scum shooter prevented.
God help us, and save us from the true racist.

I have a post up now about this killing. Whether the left wants to admit it or not they are complicit in this killing.

Sounds to me like he is just pandering Peter in an attempt to hide his racism. 🙂 Seriously though, it is people like your son, who do what they do because it is the right thing to do without caring about getting proper credit who are the real heroes. Your son sounds like a great man, you must be proud!

…and it will truly be a racist White Christmas for the families of the two new York City police officers executed last night by a black man-can we say that- as revenge for Brown and Garner. Such a sad commentary on the ever evolving civilized socialist society into which we have ascended. I surfed the NY metro news channels this morning for details bust thus far only FOX is reporting. Paraphrasing Obama’s comments, this cop problem is real to the black and latino communities, that are left to deal with their frustrations on their own. Sharpton of course condemns the shootings he has facilitated. Happy Kwanza you race hustling poverty pimps.

Could not have been said any better Peter.

I have an idea for a new tee shirt that we might be able to get the vastly overpaid basketball players to wear. I WAS MURDERED, THAT’S WHY I CAN’T BREATH.
On retrospect, I guess without those “race hustling poverty pimps” helping, there isn’t much chance of that becoming a big hit.

Speaking of Bing, one of the greatest Christmas songs of all times is Bing Crosby and David Bowie doing little drummer boy.

Neat one! – hadn’t heard / seen it before.
The desire for ‘peace’ and ‘caring for other’s’ (good will toward all men), is a grand pursuit and goal. ‘And let the peace of God rule in your hearts …’
I heard that the miracle wasn’t so much his birth (which was natural), but rather his conception (which was not) – and that conception happened this time of year (found in Luke 1-2). He was born without sin, the begotten Son of God – not of a earthly father. [That’s possible today w/ Science, so how much more possible with God.]
He’s called The Prince of Peace – the Light of the world – the Source from which good tidings flow! Singing songs is good, but having the Life of Christ conceived in us, gives substance and meaning to our being, assurance – based on a sure foundation. Jesus stated “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6
‘And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.’ John 8:32

And with Christmas shopping in mind, consider going to South Bend Uniform and buying one of their “Breath Easy” tee-shirts. The cop who owns the store has gotten a lot of flack for having the NERVE to support the cops.

I found White Christmas on Netflix last night, watched the whole thing. Yep, it is a totally racist movie and the song, oh my, RACIST! I say, people need to get a life and function like adults and not fall into the hands of the race baiters! I will watch what I want and listen to what I want, damn the progressives/leftists/commies!

Yep, you are a racist simply for watching that movie! 😉 If you like musicals you should check out Holiday Inn, it is one of my favorite Fred Astaire movies. (Yes, I am a closet Fred Astaire fan, don’t let the cat out of the bag!)

I watched it during my many years of watching tv at home with my parents. I liked watching him dance, along with Gene Kelly and Danny Kaye…all good dancers. Now I need to ask, have you watched Dr. Zhivago yet? Hmmmm?
