‘Twas the Night Before Christmas; a Soldier’s Poem: Merry Christmas Everybody!

December 24, 2014

In keeping with an America’s Watchtower tradition here is “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas; a Soldier’s Poem.” Please do not forget those who sacrifice everything, and their families, so that we might enjoy this day with our families.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who frequents my little slice of the internet on a daily basis. It is because of all of you that I keep doing this during those days when I consider giving up.

We have a great community here and I would not give that up for anything. Merry Christmas Everybody and Happy New Year.

I have to admit my WWI knowledge is severely lacking. I do know the Germans offered no such truce in the Ardennes in WWII and the Viet Cong reneged on the Tet truce. Thanks for sharing this!

although the war itself was probably far more barbaric, the men themselves were probably less so. there are many things that could be pinned on, but I think it may have been the dehumanizing propaganda that became honed to a razors edge in the late 1930’s and after.

It sure is Bruce! I am happy to provide a place where like-minded people can get together and there is always the possibility that we can change a few minds while we are at it.

With the grandsons, Steve. Cannot think of a better place to be right now, they remind me why we need to put up the good fight, for them!
