Louie Gohmert on John Boehner’s revenge: ‘we’re going to have another fight and it’s going to be pretty nasty’
After winning another term as Speaker of the House John Boehner wasted no time in seeking revenge against some of those who voted against him when he removed Daniel Webster and Richard Nugent from their positions on the House Rules Committee.
Needless to say, this did not sit well with two of the people who volunteered their services as the next Speaker of the House, Louie Gohmert and Ted Yoho.
During an interview with Sean Hannity both Louie Gohmert and Ted Yoho addressed this issue. Louie Gohmert stated that if Daniel Webster and Richard Nugent were removed from their positions in retaliation–for at the time of the interview it was unconfirmed–“we’re going to have another fight and it is going to be pretty nasty.”
Ted Yaho took it to another level when he compared John Boehner’s stifling of political dissension to what is expected in China, Cuba, Russia, or any other communist nation, but not in a country where we are free to regress our grievances with the government.
I cannot post the video here but you can check it out here and I highly recommend that you do so. This fight not be over just yet…
Reblogged this on The Modern Common Sense and commented:
Boehner’s allies have been waiting for him to take a stand, saying “he’s let people walk all over him for too long and is too nice to people who are eager to stab him in the back”. Well the Speaker of the House isn’t playing nice anymore, and his enemies will soon find themselves losing their plum committee positions.

In reality there’s already a split in the GOP, of very few Constitutionalist vs RINO’s and closet dem’s/socialist or whatever interbreeding has made them. If he were getting tough for something nobel, that would be different, but again, just like the emotionally ‘stunted-growth’ & unAmerican leadership, it’s un-horable and delusional – striking out like a tantrum baby. It’s easier to bring down a country than be a person of esteemed character and mettle. Lowering standards, values and being their own judges of what’s good/bad, right/wrong – self serving hypocrites. I hope they take him to the mat!

Exactly, it really tells us all we need to know about where he really stands when he is more willing to go after his own party than fight against Obama’s agenda.

Good point Steve. I get he is po’ed at his critics but aren’t they suppose to be on the same team for the love of Pete!?! Isn’t it Obama that he is suppose to be keeping in line?? My gosh…get it together Boehner!

Boehner did it last time around, so why should we be surprised. What is surprise is there are now two less GOP members on the Committee. I will have to look back, but as I recall when Pelosi ran the shop there were only 2 Gopers.I know she changed the rules on membership.

A post back in 2010 post I found one small sentence in The Hill article which is critical: The GOP Steering Committee will meet this week to decide the committee assignments for the rest of the House panels. They have yet to determine the ratio of Republicans to Democrats on the committees.

Thanks for sharing, it is interesting to note after reading that article that the Republicans did not manage to accomplish one thing they set out to do!
