CNN reported on Muslim ‘no-go zones’ many times in the recent past

 Fox News came under fire from many Democrats and the mainstream media (but I repeat myself) for recently doing a report on Muslim ‘no-go zones’ in Europe where allegedly Sharia law has been implemented and no non-Muslims are allowed to enter.

  The attacks eventually led to Fox News apologizing on air but that did not stop Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo from threatening to sue Fox News during an interview with CNN. Here is more:

“When we’re insulted, and when we’ve had an image, then I think we’ll have to sue, I think we’ll have to go to court, in order to have these words removed,” Hidalgo told Amanpour in an interview. “The image of Paris has been prejudiced, and the honor of Paris has been prejudiced.”

  CNN also ridiculed Bobby Jindal for mentioning these “no-go zones” in a speech but now it turns out, according to this story, that CNN has also reported on the “no-go zones” many times in the recent past.

Wemple uncovered about a half-dozen examples of CNN’s star anchors and numerous guests talking about Muslim “no-go zones” as fact.

According to Wemple, as recently as last month, CNN anchors Chris Cuomo and Wolf Blitzer discussed “no go zones” in Paris as a fact of life. That same night, a guest on Anderson Cooper’s primetime CNN show talked of “751 ‘no go zones’ in France” and 55 more in Sweden. Cooper later spoke to another guest about these “no go zones.” The “no go zone” talk on CNN continued for the next two days surrounding coverage of the Charlie Hebdo massacre.

  Also, according to the same story, CNN has talked about the “no-go zones” at least a half a dozen times and in fact did a full report on them two years ago. How ironic is it that Anne Hidalgo made her announcement that Paris might sue Fox News on a news outlet which was reporting the same “prejudiced” story?

 So for all of CNN’s self-righteous holier-than-though attitude it turns out they did exactly what they are attacking a conservative news outlet and a potential conservative Presidential candidate for doing. Hypocrisy much?

  I will be waiting for CNN to follow the lead of Fox News and apologize for this and I will be waiting to see if Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo will expand her lawsuit to include the “most trusted name in news” and I will be waiting to hear the same Democrats who condemned Fox News to also condemn CNN but I will not be holding my breath…
