Hillary Clinton’s use of personal email violated State Department rules

March 5, 2015

There is still some question as to whether or not Hillary Clinton’s use of her personal email account violated the Federal Records Act but if this story is true it seems all but certain she was in violation of State Department rules.

  Here is more:

The State Department has had a policy in place since 2005 to warn officials against routine use of personal email accounts for government work, a regulation in force during Hillary Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state that appears to be at odds with her reliance on a private email for agency business, POLITICO has learned.

The policy, detailed in a manual for agency employees, adds clarity to an issue at the center of a growing controversy over Clinton’s reliance on a private email account. Aides to Clinton, as well as State Department officials, have suggested that she did nothing inappropriate because of fuzzy guidelines and lack of specific rules on when and how official documents had to be preserved during her years as secretary.

But the 2005 policy was described as one of several “clear cut” directives the agency’s own inspector general relied on to criticize the conduct of a U.S. ambassador who in 2012 was faulted for using email outside of the department’s official system.

“It is the Department’s general policy that normal day-to-day operations be conducted on an authorized [Automated Information System], which has the proper level of security control to provide nonrepudiation, authentication and encryption, to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the resident information,” the Department’s Foreign Affairs Manual states.

So the question is, was this an authorized account?

If it was authorized don’t you think we already would have been told it was? This controversy would have been easily put to bed if somebody came out and stated this account was authorized by the State Department but to date nobody has so one has to believe it was not.

The question seems obvious to me…she used her personal accounts and that’s a big no-no. Your absolutely right. Had she been authorized to do so we sooooo would have known it by now. Will she be held accountable for it, now THAT seems the question to me. Or, will this bounce off of her as most things seem to do? The beat goes on…. 🙂

That really is the million dollar question isn’t it? I will be more surprised if this actually sticks to her.

Except for a guy named Dick Harpootlian, a former Democratic Party chairman in South Carolina, the Dems are circling the wagons around her.

Harpootlian seems a little more honest:

The people supporting Hillary make me think of the people who voted for Adolf Hitler to become Chancellor of Germany. They know the nature of the Hildebeast and they’re ok with it.

Some of our neighbors are really scary.

That was interesting, thanks for sharing it. Most of the Dems are circling the wagons but I think he is not because he is still hoping Biden can become President. If Biden runs it will be interesting to see if he goes after her on this…now that would be fun!

    OT
Does anyone remember reading this anywhere? I found this part of an interview or article that was posted in the blog at Downtrend.com and wondered if it was correct. I will post it, but not sure that it might not be made up, since I do not think I have seen this anywhere before. If it is not true, then guess I bought the fact that it sure rings true today.

    Senator Obama replied :

“As I’ve said about the flag pin, I don’t want to be perceived as taking sides.” “There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression…” “The anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing.”

Obama continued : “The National Anthem should be ‘swapped’ for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song ‘I’d Like To Teach the World To Sing’. If that were our anthem, then, I might salute it. In my opinion, we should consider reinventing our National Anthem as well as ‘redesign’ our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It’s my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we, as a Nation of warring people, conduct ourselves like the nations of Islam, where peace prevails – – – perhaps a state or period of mutual accord could exist between our governments ….”

When I Become President, I will seek a pact of agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation, have placed upon the nations of Islam, an unfair injustice which is WHY my wife disrespects the Flag and she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past”.

“Of course now, I have found myself about to become The President of the United States and I have put my hatredaside. I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path.My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country’s First black Family. Indeed,CHANGE is about to overwhelm the United States of America ”

Yes, you read it right. I for one, am speechless!!!

Well, Lou, I have not seen or read this before and if he indeed made these statements I’m not surprised! Whether he said them or not he sure seems to stand by them. Seriously, if true, why wasn’t it plastered allllll over the place. Oh, silly me, the media seems to pick and choose these days so we usually are not privy to much info until AFTER THE FACT. Sigh.

Lorra, we have seen this happen again and again, so guess we should not have expected to see it in the news. Yes, if he DID say this, that should have sent up a red flag to ALL of us. I am going to do a search on this Dale Lindsborg if I can find him at the WaPo and see if he did an article or what that came from. I usually do not post something I cannot authenticate, but I thought someone else might have seen it somewhere. Scary, isn’t it?

It is very scary. But, if we pulled all of his speeches and really studied them, we would undoubtedly see much of what this article is stating. There have been read flags all along the way. Most of us saw them but when folks are soooo ‘into’ someone they view as the answer to their problems they tend to explain it away or put blinders up. Hind-sight sure is 20/20 and to all of those who get their ‘candidate choice’ from watching commercials and political propaganda, let this be a lesson to you…just saying.
Hope you are well Lou! 🙂

Lorra, I should have checked first, but Snopes said it is FALSE, now should we believe them, who the hell knows. I guess at the moment, we can assume it is one of those Urban Myths, or so they say. I am having a hard time believing anything the media says, anymore, imagine you are, as well.

Not unlike Barney Frank’s having no knowledge of his lover running a gay hooker service out of his basement Hillary probably had no idea there was an e-mail server in her dining room.
