Two Massachusetts Democrats call for Nancy Pelosi to change or give up her her role as Minority Leader

April 8, 2015

Two Democratic Congressmen from the People’s Republic of Massachusetts, Stephen Lynch and Michael Capuano, have called on Nancy Pelosi to either change her tactics or give up her role as House Minority Leader. Here is more:

Lynch said, “Nancy Pelosi will not lead us back into the majority.”

Capuano had a lighter touch saying  “I think we need leadership that understands if something you’re doing is not working, change what you’re doing,” adding, “She should change, one way or the other.”

Representative Capuano seemed to later backtrack from his statement:

Since 2010, something hasn’t been resonating at the polls. I believe that when something’s not working, changes should be made. Any leader who refuses to change in the face of failure should step aside. I believe, however, that Nancy Pelosi is making the changes necessary to lead House Democrats back to electoral success, and I still believe she will do so.”

nancy-pelosi1It does not matter that he backtracked because in a moment of candor he let his true feelings known. Of course neither one tells us what that change should be but I find this to be interesting because I feel there are probably more Democrats who feel the same way but are unwilling to say it publicly. If there are two there are more…

While the media focuses on the civil war in the Republican party, and the struggle for power between the establishment Republicans and the Tea Party Republicans, and the adverse effects this could have on the 2016 election the media is ignoring what seems to be a civil war of its own brewing within the Democratic party.

And this is not the first time I have written about the Democratic party’s potential civil war, here is another example. The media has an agenda and part of that agenda is trying to promote the Republican civil war in an attempt to further divide the party while at the same time trying to present the Democratic party being united, and in my opinion there are cracks in the party which are being ignored.

The cracks in the Democratic party or not nearly the fissures we have seen within the Republican party but they are there nonetheless and there is always the possibility they could grow as time marches on–at least we can hope so…

“…the media is ignoring what seems to be a civil war of its own brewing within the Democratic party.”

The “media’s own” __ I like that, Steve. You nailed it!

Maybe there are a few good people in the Democrat party that see what damage is being done. Maybe they are tired of being told to stand behind Pelosi, at all cost! Maybe there are Representatives that will lose during their next election because of her. Maybe they are waking up and doing a “cya” and deciding for themselves that they need to represent the people and not Pelosi.

Yes, we can! I see a party that has always stood behind their leaders, but now maybe they see all that corruption and they are starting to take stock in their own careers. When the people in their states and districts are starting to scream, they have to start listening at some point or they may be voted out of office. I know there will still be ones that get voted back in, just “because” and for no other reason, but there will be ones that are OUT because we are getting fed up with being screwed. We do not pay their salaries just to see them live the high life, right? I see them living way beyond their means and I see us tightening our belts. Does that seem fair? I will answer that, “HELL NO”! My money is hard come by and taxes keep going up so DC can live well above all the rest of the country, it seems. I would rather put most any person off the street in the positions in DC and I think we might have a better run country. We seem to have the cream of the crop there right now, but what we forget is we put them there and it is up to us to take them out of office. I wonder if the American people have the stomach to clean house? Guess we will see come next election. I know we thought when we got control of the House and Senate, that we were moving in the right direction, guess they fooled us, didn’t they?
