Afterburner with Bill Whittle: ‘I Support Free Speech, But…’

May 8, 2015

In Bill Whittle’s Afterburner video entitled “I Support Free Speech, But…” he takes on the people who say Pam Geller, and those attending her event in Garland Texas, deserved to be attacked for holding an event which was designed to be provocative and offensive.

Personally I believe the event was designed to be provocative and possibly even offensive but I support Pam Geller’s right to hold this event anyway. In  Schenck v. United States Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. wrote that a person cannot “falsely” shout “fire in a theater” in an attempt to create panic. Since that decision was rendered the left has used the mantra that a person cannot shout fire in a crowded theater whenever they want to stifle free speech. But  in doing so they leave out the word “falsely” and that is because a person can shout fire in crowded theater–if there is indeed a fire.

It is interesting to note here that while attacking Pam Geller for holding this event the left is neglecting the point that this shooting highlighted the fact that she is right–there is a fire in this theater that many people want to overlook in the interest of being politically correct so as not to offend the minority of Muslims who are willing to kill people when they are offended.

I wholeheartedly believe Pamela Gellar had every right to hold the event in Texas. I also wholeheartedly believe she should have refrained from doing so. But I do not believe the two Islamic terrorists had the right to respond to the event with violence and they got what they deserved.

I base my belief that she should have refrained from holding the event not on the fact that it is against the First Amendment or that it should be considered hate speech, but on the idea that we should all refrain from showing disrespect, if possible. For example, how do Christians feel about “art” that shows a cross or a Bible submerged in urine?

Here is a post that better explains what I mean, from OK Politechs.

Thanks for sharing that article Larry and I agree. I do not think it was a wise idea to hold this event at all but I will defend her right to do so.

100% with you on this. It’s ok to exercise your rights, however it’s easy to abuse those rights at the same time. Our 1st amendment is necessary but things like Destroying the American flag, or ‘inciting’ others by purposely offending them because you can is above the call of necessity. What this woman (and those that attended did) wasn’t illegal, but highly immoral.

This is proving out not to be a ‘free speech’ matter, rather a false flag. “We have NO BLOOD and NO BODIES in Garland Texas. Not one shred of evidence or photo of any ISIS attack ever hit the news. It was all on Pamela’s word, and that of a few scammers at one of her “art festivals” and a couple liars in the parking lot. Through all of this, Pamela got totally national news coverage complete with terrorist profiles without a shred of fact checking from anyone and that puts her at the peak of the pyramid.” (Jim Stone from Iceland)

Another one: ‘ALL BUT TOTALLY PROVEN: PAMELA GELLER STAGES ISIS SHOOTING IN GARLAND TEXAS’ “And Pamela, IT IS VIRTUALLY ASSURED YOU STAGED THIS. If anyone really was injured, YOU are responsible and will hopefully do jail time. That would shut you up!” http://www.abeldanger.net/2015/05/pamela-geller-stages-inept-isis-false.html
I thought she was on our side but guess not.

Photos here are quite telling, worth viewing: Fake Body Detected in Arch-Zionist Garland TX Terror Hoax: http://nodisinfo.com/fake-body-detected-in-arch-zionist-garland-texas-terror-hoax/
Main reason I’m noting these is that the focus isn’t about Constitutional rights (which we agree the Regime is not respecting), rather the ‘devices and staged events’ they’re manufacturing to further their Agenda. TX has been fighting against the JH15 project (which hasn’t waited for July to begin), so they get Pamela’s staged false flag. Baltimore sets up the ‘forced curfews’, conditioning people just like the Boston Marathon home entry and lockdown.
Those behind this don’t acknowledge the Constitution, so we better ‘see’ what they are acknowledging!
