Republicans claim they have enough votes to grant Barack Obama fast-track authority on the TPP

May 17, 2015

Barack Obama has been seeking fast-track authority on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal he has been negotiating in private and now, according to this story, the Republicans are claiming they will have the votes later this week to give him the power he so desperately wants.

If the President is granted this authority (and it appears he will be) it will mean the Congress can only vote on the secret deal as written and will not be able to offer any amendments to the proposal. Also, if I have been reading the reports correctly this fast-track authority will apply to any future trade deal the President negotiates.

I find this to be interesting to say the least because the Republicans have been bitching and moaning about Barack Obama’s usurpation of powers through Executive orders and actions for quite some time now but now that he is asking for even more power they are more than willing to give it to him. And they are doing so because they really do not care about the Constitution or the American worker when they see an opportunity to forward their agenda. So much for checks and balances…

I have been saying for quite some time that there is no real difference between the parties, in the end they are all part of the ruling class and we are merely poor players in the game. If the Republicans truly cared about, and opposed, the President’s usurpations they would never grant him even more authority but they have been using the Hegelian Dialectic of thesis/antithesis/synthesis to create an appearance of opposition to the President and in the end the predetermined solution will be realized. And this is yet another example of what I have been talking about, ordo ab chao…

None of them are on our side, or perhaps I should say very few of them are, and until the American people realize this the divide and conquer strategy of the Hegelian Dialectic operatives will continue to work.

Malo periculosam libertatem quam quietum servitium

The United Nations has a history of corruption from the very moment that Eisenhower took the training wheels off of the UN. The concept is an actual Freemason ideal, where nations debate and discuss matters on a regular basis, face to face, however, most. of those appointed to the UN, found ways to self-profiteer, in all strife, and in all corners of the globe. The agenda, is collective. The players, or as I call them, perpetrators, all, conspire with each other. That is why, if I ever was president, immediately after firing EPA, DHS, relieving IRS of its quasi-official duties (giving those duties back to US Treasury), and relieving IRS’s parent the Federal Reserve Bank (again, US Treasury would be then tasked), as IRS, and FRB, are owned, in totality, by International Monetary Fund, in France, where, conspiring, is done over a late luncheon, I would have the US resign from the UN, and throw the rat bastards out of America, banning them, and demolish the NYC UN Headquarters, building something worthwhile, such as, equine center with full surgical and rehabilitation units, fireproof stables with air conditioning and climate control, or, housing for normal blue collar people.

Ha, Ha! Anytime you want me to. I will be the first president that carries a .45acp, and heaven help the Secret Service if they behave as they did in the past.

Sure is NICE to have you back on board Brittius. I knew you’d have some insight, history, info and reasoning to add! Appreciate your time. There are 45 goals in ‘The Naked Communist’ that most have been fulfilled and we know they want to tip it in their direction as soon as they can. I’m with the gals on your being swore in asap (because you’d actually ‘mean’ protect and perserve!) – AND I really like the equine stable idea! Now that’s real Stable thinking!

Doesn’t surprise me in the least what the Republicans are doing. It is not as if there is much difference between the parties. Remember, back before the election they were on OUR side and were going to take care of all the “wrongs” that were being done? Does it surprise you that they have not and in fact taken it the other direction? I think it probably doesn’t. We are being screwed and it really doesn’t matter which party is doing it, still screwed any way you look at it. I SO want Obama to have more power, apparently the Republicans have heard me say how much and are fulfilling my request. /s

People need to ask themselves this question: If there is a difference between parties why is it that nothing meaningful ever changes no matter which party is in charge?

The $64,000 question, Steve. The answer is that there is no difference between the parties. They are both controlled by the same people for the same reasons. It doesn’t matter which party has control, the interests of TPTB are served by both.

Exactly Laura. In the primaries we only have the illusion of choice because the candidate the establishment gets behind and gives money to is the one who always ends up winning. The parties are just too similar on many issues and they play this game of opposing each other but if they really did why does nothing change? I guess I just asked the same question again! 🙂

We have the way to correct this, don’t we, Steve? Too bad people are too afraid to step out of their self-imposed box to take advantage of what we offer….

Yes, Laura, they are controlled by greed and self preservation. We The People are an afterthought in this new America of ours (new compared to what our founding fathers envisioned).

Yes we do Laura, too bad it never got off the ground. Perhaps someday somebody will launch a real threat to TPTB but it must happen soon or it might be too late!

It sure looks to the naked eye that the republicans have thrown in the towel and are conceding 2016 and therefore unconcerned with further alienating their base. A more likely scenario is that the money has long ago been spread to both sides of the aisle and the election predetermined for the DEMS, Hillary or not. The four hundred republicans Bieing for their party’s nomination most likely is nothing more than a diversion; window dressing. Should they further empower this SOB in his quest to destroy America’s small businesses and jobs this may very well be the final straw for my voting republican… ever. The polyannas on talk radio are just that spreading their misplaced belief that America can and will be returned to its former greatness if enough of us close our eyes and sprinkle fairy dust while sucking our thumbs. The fat lady is preparing her dirge.

Of course I want to believe we still have a say in who gets the nomination, but also who is voted in for President. Even after Obama was reelected for his second term, I had hope that we had a chance at placing a Republican in that position, but I have pretty much come to the conclusion that we will have that person picked for us and they will just let us go thru the motion of voting, just for shits and grins, all the while laughing at us. The real conservative, constitutional candidates will never be allowed to get the nomination. We will end up with Jeb Bush and Hillary and there will not be much difference between the two. Peter, just who the hell DO we vote for when they are the same???? To control the House and the Senate and to have the Democrats still in control, well, somebody is not doing their job….OR are they?

Lou, here in NJ a vote for a republican in the presidential is an exercise in futility at best. Pissing in the wind makes more sense than going to the polls on a cold first Tuesday in November. Most likely In 2016 I will be pissing into the wind rather than exercising in futility.

Yes Lou, we will once again have a choice of the lesser of two evils. The Republicans don’t want a true Constitutionalist as a candidate because in the end they really don’t have a problem with bigger government and unconstitutional acts, they just want to be in charge of it.

Yes, they money is going to decide the election and it is going to come in to the two candidates who are most alike so that it really does not matter who get elected.

Furious, absolutely furious! How dare they! The repubs are absolutely not obeying the Constitution or their constituents.

If we want to save our federal Constitutional Republic we have to break the stranglehold the political parties and money have on our representatives and government. We have to retrain the People in how to choose a public servant and what we expect and will allow from those representatives.

He got it right, the only thing he didn’t say is that this agenda is coming from above. Which is what the questioner was alluding to. I just put the book he mentioned on my reading list, thanks for sharing that.

I think you know where I am going with this question: Collectively many people refer to them as the Illuminati. In my opinion they are a collection of corporatists, special interests, and globalists such as George Soros who are controlling the purse strings behind the scenes (the veil) pushing for global domination. These people think they are above us all and know what is best for us so in that sense they feel illumined.
