Chris Christie to announce Presidential bid on Tuesday

June 27, 2015

Chris Christie is scheduled to make an announcement on Tuesday regarding his intentions on running for President in 2016 but if this is any indication he is going to be running.

If the trips to New Hampshire and leaked announcement invitations weren’t big enough clues, Chris Christie is in for 2016.

Like several other campaigns this cycle, Christie’s team went for a digital-first approach ahead of any formal announcement: The New Jersey governor launched a campaign website on Saturday, just three days before he’s expected to announce his White House bid from the gym of his high school alma mater in Livingston, N.J.

He signaled the site’s launch in a series of tweets Saturday morning.

This comes amid falling poll numbers both in his state and nationally so I really would not expect too much momentum to gather behind him but with people less than enthusiastic with the current field one never knows. How else can you explain the momentum (albeit most likely short-lived) that Donald Trump is currently enjoying?

The more the merrier…….I guess. We love when someone is willing to say in public what we feel in our heart, in a loud and forceful manner. But that person needs to be able to win. We liked a lot of what Ross Perot said, but he got 8% and EVERYBODY knew his name. Michael Medved said a while ago the winner to BOTH appeal to the base for the votes and appeal to the establishment to get the money. Even though he was derided, Mitt was sure right when he said the left has a guaranteed 47% The winner needs to get the middle 5% to shift. I don’t see how Christie does that.

Mitt Romney was right but of course the MSM twisted his words around and it probably is what cost him the election. You are right, there is no way Christie is going to get that additional 5%.

I am already burned out with him. I get more of him than most since I spend much of my time in his media market. Trust me, it gets really old.

I am sure it does! He seems to be one of those arrogant politicians who thinks he knows what is best for everyone.

The Incredible Bulk is my governor. He has two strikes against him: swapping spit with Obama on the NJ beach after Hurricane Sandy and Bridge-gate. Although he still maintains that he was on a diet and told his subordinates “close the fridge.” He’d make a great democrat.

Pretty sad Pj. But true. I use to like him. No more and that example is one reason. And I agree he’s more of a democrat, but today that distinction is becoming null.

Nearly prostrating himself in front of Obama and helping to hand him the win over Romney is something that should do him in all on its own. Bridgegate may seem like a non-issue to many people but it shows him to be a bully in my book.

I wonder if this is part of the ploy. Do they really think they’ll be in the running or does the shadow gov. prop them all up there to make it look like it’s a ‘real choice’ – playing the game of dilution and illusion?

A very good question and I am not sure, it could be that they are just arrogant and don’t realize they have no shot. Or it could be that they are all in there to attack each other so as to destroy whomever makes it to the general election so that the Democrat will win.

We might as well figure it’s not for our good, only more diversion.

I’m wondering is jeb offered him the secretary of transportation job in the bush administration to thin out the “anyone but bush” vote as much as possible.

that’s the only person this helps. most of these candidates have to be looking at the polls and figuring out it’s just not the right time, but they keep jumping in.

It could be that most of them are jumping in looking for a cabinet position from Jeb if he were to win the Presidency, I had not thought about that.
