Inspectors General contradict Hillary Clinton’s claim that emails on her personal server were not classified when they were written
Last week two Inspectors General called for an investigation of Hillary Clinton and her use of a personal email server while conducting official State business in order to avoid FOIA requests and Congressional oversight. These two Inspectors General stated that Hillary Clinton had classified emails on her personal server and this is a claim that the former Secretary of State has denied…sort of.
Hillary Clinton’s defense goes something like this: sure there were classified emails on my personal server but at the time I wrote them they were not classified–the reclassification came later.
“I am confident that I never sent or received any information that was classified at the time it was sent and received. What I think you’re seeing here is a very typical kind of discussion, to some extent disagreement among various parts of the government, over what should or should not be publicly released,” Clinton said, according to the Associated Press.
“I think there’s so much confusion around this that I understand why reporters and the public are asking questions, but the facts are pretty clear. I did not send nor receive anything that was classified at the time,”
That is what Hillary Clinton would like us to believe, however these two Inspectors General have quite a different take on the matter.
They are now contradicting Hillary Clinton and are claiming these emails have always been classified and never should have been sent from a personal email server. Here is more:
“These emails were not retroactively classified by the State Department; rather, these emails contained classified information when they were generated and, according to IC classification officials, that information remains classified today,” the inspectors general said.
“This classified information should never have been transmitted via an unclassified personal system,”
And keep in mind that this is just the beginning because these Inspectors General have only been allowed to see 40 out of the 30,000 emails Hillary Clinton turned over to the State Department. There is no telling what might be in the emails they have not been allowed to see…

Let me see if I’m understanding her correctly.
She only used her private email connected to her own private server located in the basement of her own home….
She was Secretary of State….
She claims she never had any classified information in any email whatsoever…ever….
BULLSHIT!!!! That stinking liar is lying….again!!

She will get off on a technicality, as always. Of course she is a liar! She will do what she wants, when she wants, after all she is a CLINTON, does that explain it? Oh ya, she is the smartest woman in the world, too, at least I am pretty sure she thinks so. Take deep breaths, Laura!

I don’t think the DOJ will even move forward on this, she will skate just as the Clinton’s always have.

Hey, maybe they’ll offer her a deal – they won’t prosecute provided she drops out of the race and neither she, Bill, nor their evil spawn run for office ever, ever again!!!
Hey…I can dream. 😉
Oh, oh, wait, even better. They move to an uninhabited island where even there hillary won’t be the smartest woman. Hahahahahahaha.

Thanks, Lou. I can always count on you to make me chuckle. 🙂
P.S. Smartest woman in the world??? HA! Even when she’s by herself she’s not the smartest woman in the room!!!!

I have to wonder, however, that if they find what I think they will find some heads might roll. I believe there were a lot of deals made with some pretty prominent people… Then again, if it is covered up because of how deep the rabbit hole goes then who knows… UGH!

Anything can happen, Lorra, but from experience, we have learned that money talks!

Isn’t that just the sad truth? Sigh… Have a great night Lou!

If the deal is Hillary drops out and there is no prosecution I might be able to live with that, however Sanders might be worse on the issues than she is so we have to be careful what we wish for.

Sanders “appears” to be harmless, but he is NOT! I think people tend to think of when someone is older, they cannot do any harm to you. In this case, he has an agenda like all the rest, which makes him dangerous in his own way.

I agree Laura, I believe we have not even scratched the surface of this scandal. I would love to see some heads roll but if any do I would expect Clinton will have her bases covered and the fall guy(s) are already in place.

Haha, as I get older I know people think I “look” like a nice middle aged grandma…..looks can be deceiving! The same goes for these candidates!

Sanders may look harmless Lou but in reality he is probably worse than Hillary but at least he deserves credit for admitting he is a socialists while the others try to pretend they are not.

I read somewhere that the DOJ was shutting down the Inspector Generals with new rules. I am trying to find it. If true, it bodes a new low

I read that they were going to have to go and ASK permission on certain stuff. That tells me that they will be greatly limited on doing their jobs…in fact, they might as well not even have that position anymore. They are supposed to be INDEPENDENT, right? So much for being neutral and reporting on something…..sounds like what the media was supposed to be like MANY years ago…now they have been bought and paid for. I guess from now on, we will never get an unbiased opinion from anyone in the government, ever again.

As Steve explained, more than one link triggers the dreaded ‘awaiting moderation’ message, lol. I’ve been caught several times. 🙂

Congress already has all the authority it needs to rein in our out-of-control Executive Branch. Members just refuse to use that authority because they want to be re-elected.

Well ok then! All I wanted to do was give Bunker a couple places to look on the question he had,,,,oh well, will have to remember that….thanks, guys!

I hadn’t heard that Bunkerville and Lou but for some reason I am not surprised in the least! No worries Lou, I receive notifications whenever somebody comments and I am notified if I need to approve a comment. While I usually don’t have time to answer a comment at work it only takes a second to approve a comment so I usually do it right away.
