Donald Trump tells GOP leadership he will not run a third-party candidacy

August 26, 2015

donald trump Donald Trump has been unwilling to vow not to run a third-party candidacy if he does not win the Republican nomination. If he were to run as an independent it would ensure the Democratic nominee would win the Presidency and he sees this as leverage in the Republican primary.

I however see this threat as more like extortion than anything else–vote for me or I will do what it takes to make sure nobody but a Democrat wins in 2016. This threat could also entice people who would otherwise not vote for him in the primary to do so out of fear of a third-party run, however according to this story Donald Trump is now telling the Republican leadership he will forego a third-party run if he does not win the nomination.

  Here is more:

Businessman Donald Trump has told several top Republicans that he will swear off the possibility of an independent bid and commit to running his presidential campaign under the party’s banner, according to several sources.

Such a move could endear Trump further to Republican voters who have remained skeptical about his allegiance to a political party he joined relatively recently. Trump had drawn sharp criticism from GOP leaders concerned that a third party bid would effectively guarantee a Democratic win in the general election.

Michael Cohen, a top Trump aide, did not go so far as to confirm that the businessman would take the step of forsaking a run as an independent. But he did tell The Huffington Post that Trump never had “any intent” of campaigning as anything other than a Republican.

“He just wanted to ensure that the establishment would treat him as fair as they would treat any of the other candidates,” Cohen said. “And I believe, right now, they are treating him fairly. It is my personal belief that the RNC is treating Mr. Trump the same as the other candidates, and he will live up to his agreement not to run as an independent.”

As you can see, he is claiming the only reason he has held out the possibility of a third-party run is to ensure the Republican leadership treats him fairly, and maybe he is, but is he playing games with the party hoping they will rally around him with this news or is he serious? Can he be trusted or am I just being too cynical about his intentions?

The only thing I am sure about at this point in time is that Donald Trump is now a legitimate contender who will be someone to be reckoned with during the primary and I did not think so just a few short weeks ago; he has captured the frustration many voters have with the establishment and that is something which cannot be ignored.

Trump may have good reason for holding out with his Ace card. If my memory serves me right, the GOP did something to Ross Perot back in the day that kicked him off the ballot in a number of States. Not sure if it was as a GOPer or what. Will try and track it down.

P.S. Not the dirty tricks as he claimed, but can’t find it.

I don’t remember what happened back then but I am sure they did everything they could to stop him and they will probably do the same thing this time around. Trump could be saying this so as to leave them unprepared if he does run third-party.

We have seen it before, if you are not establishment, you are black-balled! One of the few things that the Republican party RINO’s will stick together on is sticking it to a new comer that actually wants to do what is right for the party. One would think that they might take into account what the people want, but guess I am just being silly thinking that could or would happen. Trump has good reason to not trust them and I would probably have held out on that, as well. It is sad when you cannot trust your own party anymore. I have been a life long Republican voter, but feel that they have let me down. You have to give the Democrats credit for sticking to something and they all back whatever it is. The Republicans just do not have that same loyalty.
Bunker, from what I remember (sometimes right, sometimes wrong) Ross Perot ran as an Independent with James Stockdale as his running mate.

Yes, when it comes to protecting the establishment the GOP actually sticks together. I wish they went after Obama as hard as they go after the Tea Party guys. Normally I would be thrilled a guy like Trump is taking it to them but his past positions on many issues makes me not trust him.

“The Simpsons “PREDICTED” a Donald Trump presidency !!! Illuminati Predictive Programming!” Mario pulls the curtain back on the shadow elite running the show – a bit ‘out there’ if you’ve not seen this kind of symbology, but give it a whirl and see for yourself if he’s making sense!

Just a few too many coincidences huh?! The symbolism was all there for those of us who know about it and I think he nailed what Trump is all about!
Disney was in on all this as well. Here is William Cooper explaining the Lion King back in 1992.

Thanks Steve, didn’t realize Cooper did something on that, but good for him! It’s amazing how much is fabricated – lies – that we’ve been taught since we first popped out into this ‘world’! I’ll check it out!

A bit OT, but goes with the ‘baloney.’ The ‘alleged’ shooting in Virginia – another staged hoax. Many utube vid on it, breaking it down. What got me questioning it, was all the yipping screams going on during shooting, when she was suppose to be the one being shot. How many times does a shot person scream like that? Once and their done! And if a camera man is shoot does it carefully/gently put his camera down before succumbing to having been shot? And the shooter, standing there all that time with the gun in his hands, while the camera man is filming off to the right, not even filming the two females. All too goofy = psyop.

Sufis (Turkey Caliphate) End of Turkey Caliphate – (Muslim Brotherhood-Sufis) -> Sufis – Free Mason – Muslim Brotherhood.
The First wave of the Muslim Brotherhood Infiltration went Via The Free Mason, Which mean Many Countries, Key Cities, and Influencial People !!

In his book The Sufis, the Afghan scholar Idries Shah suggested that Dhul-Nun al-Misri might have been the origin of the character Hiram Abiff in the masonic Master Mason ritual. The link, he believes, was through the Sufi sect Al-Banna (“The Builders”) who built the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock in Jérusalem

No problem Zip. He did something on everything, that is why he is dead! His Mystery Babylon series is over 40 hours long and it goes into the secret religion of the Illuminati as well as all the symbolism.

According to the Masonic legend, if I remember it correctly, Hiram Abiff was allegedly the architect of Solomon’s Temple however he was upset that he was not properly credited so he created the Molten Sea and was eventually led into the fire where he met Cain and died at the hands of his own creation. I probably do not have the right, it has been a long time, but I am pretty sure it goes something like that.
