A new Iowa poll shows Ben Carson tied with Donald Trump

August 31, 2015

Regardless of what the national polls show it seems as if the race for the Republican nomination for the Presidency in 2016 is still in a state of flux–at least in Iowa.

Yesterday a poll was released which showed Ben Carson surging to within striking distance of Donald Trump and today a new poll, by a different polling agency, shows the former brain surgeon tied with the business mogul.

  Here is more:

A new poll released Monday shows Ben Carson tied with Donald Trump for the lead in Iowa with 23 percent support, marking the first time since mid-July that an Iowa poll has shown Trump not alone in the lead.

The Monmouth University poll shows the surgeon’s support has unexpectedly increased by 15 points since the organization’s previous poll in mid-July. Meanwhile, former Iowa frontrunner Scott Walker has dropped 15 points to fifth place now.

And even more surprising is the fact that the woman that Fox News screwed out of a place in the main debate and whom CNN is currently about to screw out of a place in the next debate, Carly Fiorina, is now in third place.

Businesswoman Carly Fiorina holds third place in the new poll with 10 percent support, although criteria for the debate on CNN among the top 10 candidates threatens her ability to grab a podium.

Ben CarsonIf these polls are accurate the message the voters of Iowa are desperately trying to send to the Republican establishment is more than clear–we are sick of your bullshit–and yet the establishment continues to willingly ignore the will of its base and they do so at their own peril.

The Tea Party handed the Republicans victories in the last two mid-term elections only to see it squandered away by the establishment and this led to crushing defeats at the hands of John McCain and Mitt Romney–the hand-picked establishment candidates–and now the Republican party is set on making the same mistake again in 2016. When will they ever learn?

I hate to say it, because you all know how I feel about Donald Trump, but maybe this is what it will take for the Republican establishment to realize we are done screwing around with them. Maybe he, or one of the other two outsiders, can put them in their place once and for all…

Malo periculosam libertatem quam quietum servitium

I can’t help but thinking there will be a “Night of The Long Knives” targeting the three non-establishment candidates sometime in the coming year. But then again the GOP establishment elites are so clueless they may just continue plodding along with Bush until he loses either the nomination of the election.

I can’t help but think that at this point the GOP is getting worried but then again their arrogance never ceases to amaze.

It’s difficult to know what’s true with the polls. Dr. Ben is so soft spoken … maybe that’s a plus in this ‘loud’ and ‘noisy’ scenario! As for them, ‘waking up’ Steve that we don’t care for them and their fake fronts, do they even care? There would have to be a total revamping of the whole system (or maybe just the people – replace the the corrupt w/ Pro American’s). We seen shows where the wacko military guy takes over as a dictator, which isn’t the answer. Be interesting to see is Ben continues to forge ahead.

OT. Steve I checked Way Back Machine for the New Federalist Party and got this: Page cannot be crawled or displayed due to robots.txt.*/
What do you think about that?

We started to build a website at one time but I do not think it ever went online, there were a couple of other groups out there using the same name so it is possibly one of their sites.

It is very hard to tell what polls are right, if any, because most of the time the polls are actually about shaping opinion and not about expressing what public opinion really is.
You are right, they are not going to ever wake up because they honestly do not care what we want and I suppose the only way they will learn is if we get rid of them all.

Well stated Steve. It seems that the better of quality someone is they tend NOT to get into other people’s biz and desire them to have freedom to choose and left alone … until their actions start to infringe on the freedoms and liberties of others, then they stand up for a Just Cause. Those are the very people the adversary likes to get out of the way, so the czars and such can be placed in. But it’s the JUST who are needed to take action to ‘get rid’ of the corrupt and 50 shades of politic workers of inequity!

Zip, does it say who did the poll? You know it could be someone just wanting to start some crap, but we know that the wording can shape a poll and if they are not getting the answer they want, they hang up. Polls are just not reliable. I do like Ben Carson, but I do not think he is presidential material, as I have said in the past. He should have a position in the Administration, but not the top spot. Pretty much, I do not trust anyone in politics with out a self-vetting that I do. I am sure those here are doing the same.

The poll was done by Monmouth University. I don’t know anything about them but I would guess it is liberal so I would also guess they are trying to stir things up a bit.

I would say most likely a liberal campus, do not know many that are not unless they are a religious university….those are BAD universities, you know! Yep, they are stirring the pot!

Hey, Steve, here is a link to that ‘theory’ about the plan to make Bush the republican nominee that I mentioned.

Of course he is the chosen one, didn’t we know that from the start, just like Clinton is for the Democrats? However, she has hit a snag, hope it gets her.

Yeah, in the end Bush will be the pick and in most years Hillary would be as well but it is getting to the point where she might actually blow this. If she had got out in front of this she probably would have survived but I think she might have screwed it up to the point where she cannot.

Great article Laura, thanks for sharing! That is a great website that I have not been to in a long while, I need to start getting back there. The plan is in motion and it is most likely going to work. We think we have a choice but we are being played for fools and we do not.
