Donald Trump: ‘am I morally obligated to defend the president?’

September 19, 2015

donald trump Before I begin this post I must say that I feel “morally obligated” to once again state that I am not a supporter of Donald Trump and I have made my concerns about him painfully clear on more than one occasion to those who read this blog on a regular basis.

With that out of the way let us begin: Donald Trump has come under fire in the last couple of days because he did not correct a person who called Barack Obama a Muslim at a recent event in New Hampshire. The mainstream media has been hammering him on this issue and while I have been very critical of him this seems nothing more than a trumped up (pun fully intended) controversy designed to take him down because the mainstream media suddenly realizes that he could be a serious threat to the eventual Democratic nominee.

Donald Trump defended himself by asking on Twitter, ‘am I morally obligated to defend the president every time somebody says something bad or controversial about him? I don’t think so!” He followed this up on Twitter with comments such as “this is the first time in my life that I have caused controversy by NOT saying something” and “if someone made a nasty or controversial statement about me to the president, do you really think he would come to my rescue? No chance!” and finally, “if I would have challenged the man, the media would have accused me of interfering with that man’s right of free speech. A no win situation!” And I have to admit he is 100% right!

While at one time Donald Trump might have been the most prominent voice in the birther movement the fact is that he did not found the movement, that distinction belongs to none other than Hillary Clinton, her supporters, and some in the Democratic party.

  Here is more:

The root of the Birther/Obama-Is-A-Muslim movement can be found in Hillary Clinton’s 2008 campaign.

That’s a fact.

That’s science.

Hillary Clinton is the grandmother of  the Birther movement.

It wasn’t Trump who sent the photo above to everyone.

All he did was blow off a loon.

The campaign that sent out the photo above (which is not a fake — it was taken during a visit to Africa) was the Hillary Clinton 2008 campaign.

At the time, Obama campaign manager David Plouffe said,

“[This is] the most shameful, offensive fear-mongering we’ve seen from either party in this election”. Obama has had to spend much of the campaign stressing he is a Christian not a Muslim and did not study at a madrassa.

See, I’m not asking you to believe me. Team Obama said so.

The Clinton’s smear campaign went even further.

In a rare moment of intellectual honesty, the left-wing Politico told the truth: [emphasis mine]

Where did this idea come from? Who started it? And is there a grain of truth there?

The answer lies in Democratic, not Republican politics, and in the bitter, exhausting spring of 2008. At the time, the Democratic presidential primary was slipping away from Hillary Clinton and some of her most passionate supporters grasped for something, anything that would deal a final reversal to Barack Obama. …

The original smear against Obama was that he was a crypto-Muslim, floated in 2004 by perennial Illinois political candidate and serial litigant Andy Martin. Other related versions of this theory alleged that Obama was educated in an Indonesian “madrassa” or steeped in Islamist ideology from a young age, and the theories began to spread virally after Obama appeared on the national stage – to the casual observer, from nowhere – with his early 2007 presidential campaign. …

Then, as Obama marched toward the presidency, a new suggestion emerged: That he was not eligible to serve.

That theory first emerged in the spring of 2008, as Clinton supporters circulated an anonymous email questioning Obama’s citizenship.

“Barack Obama’s mother was living in Kenya with his Arab-African father late in her pregnancy. She was not allowed to travel by plane then, so Barack Obama was born there and his mother then took him to Hawaii to register his birth,” asserted one chain email that surfaced on the urban legend site Snopes.com in April 2008.

When asked by a reporter if Obama was a Muslim in 2008, she replied, “There’s nothing to base that on … as far as I know.”

Before I continue here is the picture in question:

Obama Muslim

As you can see the original question about Barack Obama’s true faith, and even his eligibility to run for President, came from his Democratic opponent in 2004 and was moved forward with this picture by Hillary Clinton and her supporters in 2008, which leads us to an obvious question which should be uncomfortable to the left: if the right wing is full of Islamophobic people while the left wing is tolerant why would this have even been an issue in 2004 and 2008 in Democratic circles?

So the whole issue was started by Democrats in 2004 and was really brought to light in 2008 and yet Donald Trump is being attacked for not rebuking a movement which was brought to mainstream America by none other than Hillary Clinton?

If you are one of my leftist friends you need to start doing a little soul searching; you need to ask yourself how you can condemn Donald Trump for not defending Barack Obama against an attack on his faith when most likely you will be supporting the woman who first questioned the President’s faith. It seems a little hypocritical to me, I would expect this from the mainstream media because it has an agenda, are you willing to ignore this to promote your agenda?

Be honest with yourself, it will not be easy and believe me I know, but it will do you good…

Bari’s (muslim name) rotten fruit bears witness that he serves the ‘god of this world’/serpent, fulfilling the debase lusts of carnality – which is far more engaging than realizing there’s more than just this existence or that there really is a day of reckoning coming – and it isn’t the Holly-wood version! American’s are to support and stand for the Constitution & those governing principles that uphold the foundation of this Nation, not the prez (who’s suppose to be doing that same!). This acting position-filler is one the enemy’s (global elitist) plants and of a foreign spirit. Good for Trump. If nothing else Steve he is calling it out pretty plainly!

You know there are some questions that should go unanswered…damned if you do and damned if you don’t….I would rather he just didn’t say anything…at least they do not have a sound bite to come back and bite him in the butt with. From what I read, this guy in the audience was a plant to set him up, whether he was or not, doesn’t matter. The media has their talking point for the weekend so they don’t have to mention illegals or the economy or abortion…anything but that! Wouldn’t you think we have more important things going on in this world, than having all the alphabet channels in a tizzy about him NOT taking up for the President? I mean, this is not grade school and I could not care less if Obama is or is not a Muslim at this point…bottom line is that he is BAD for the country and he needs to go, no matter what his religion is. That he will not come out and admit to anything on any given subject matter should tell us that he has LOTS to hide, so he is BAD for us.

After reading this article about what Ben Carson had to say about being a Muslim and the Constitution, it kind of made sense. See what you think!

I read this and it’s easy to agree with his assessment that a Muslim shouldn’t be president. How about asking him the hard question like would you support an anti-constitution constitutionally elected Muslim president? And Muslims in congress are OK. Give me a break. I’ve never trusted him. He speaks softly and does not carry a stick as evidenced by his debate response to how we should deal with ISIS. As we used to say before PC became the law of the land, “There’s a nigger in the woodpile (no pun intended. All the same I would trust him to operate on a child family member.

I ,am not in agreement on much that he says, but I think he is at least an honest and compassionate man, unlike what we have now. I still hold that he is not Presidential material and would/could see him as the Surgeon General if a Republican gets into office. I can see alot of the candidates that are running in cabinet positions and not Presidential. I think it is going to take someone with guts and who is not afraid to stand up for us, of which we have been sorely lacking for a few years. He/she needs to have a will of steel and a cold look in the eyes and not take crap from anyone….you know like a MOM! My kids always said I had “the look” and they knew when to shut up and back down and live to fight another day…perhaps “the look” is what is needed to get us out of this mess. We are feared by no one and that is a dangerous position to be in right now!

I think he is in over his head and doesn’t fully understand some of the issues and because he doesn’t seem to have the fight in him that people want to see I don’t think his surge will last.

Barry Hussein the latest incarnation of the Manchurian Candidate must have been influence by the Muslim trappings of the White House. How else does one account for a once devout Christian from birth becoming the Islamist terrorist’s number one cheerleader and enabler in their quest for worldwide jihad?

Are you saying he was just in the right place at the wrong time to become what he has? You mean he could not help what happened to him? Should we be upset that someone made him into what he is? He could not help himself? It wasn’t his fault? Ok, that explains alot….NOT!

Anyone who listened to the tape could eailsy hear Donald saying something to the effect of ‘oh great, that’s our first question’.
What makes me puke it that old commie Bernie dumping on Donald. Doesn’t anyone remember when Bernie let the radical ‘Black lives matter’ group TAKE OVER his conference, and NEVER SAID A WORD after they spouted their lies.
HELL NO, nobody needs to defend O-bla-bla, and in my opinion, no one should.

It was not his place and actually why should he want to? Aren’t there enough people making excuses and running cover for Obama as it is? One more would make a difference? Clinton thought that was terrible. She just needs to shut the hell up, I cannot stand listening to her and she sure as hell doesn’t need to be telling anyone else what they should and should not do. What a witch she is. She needs to take care of her own issues before she starts accusing anyone else of not doing what they should.

There are plenty of apologists in the MSM for the President and they were on full display over this fake scandal.

I noticed that as well, it was clear to me that he wasn’t taking the question too serious but of course the MSM ignored that.
