Hillary Clinton’s campaign demands the personal information of five comedians who joked about her

November 19, 2015

hillary clinton As long as there have been comedians and politicians around there have been comedians making jokes about politicians, however one prominent Democratic Presidential candidate is apparently not all that fond of being the butt of a joke or two and that politician is none other than Hillary Clinton according to this Judicial Watch blog post.

In fact, according to the story, she is so upset that it is being reported someone in her campaign not only demanded that the Laugh Factory website take down a video it posted in which comedians were cracking jokes about the former Secretary of State but also demanded the contact information of the comedians who performed in the video and threatened the owner of the night club.

  Here is more:

In what appears to be a first for a serious presidential contender, Hillary Clinton’s campaign is going after five comedians who made fun of the former Secretary of State in standup skits at a popular Hollywood comedy club.

A video of the short performance, which is less than three minutes, is posted on the website of the renowned club, Laugh Factory, and the Clinton campaign has tried to censor it. Besides demanding that the video be taken down, the Clinton campaign has demanded the personal contact information of the performers that appear in the recording. This is no laughing matter for club owner Jamie Masada, a comedy guru who opened Laugh Factory more than three decades ago and has been instrumental in launching the careers of many famous comics. “They threatened me,” Masada told Judicial Watch. “I have received complains before but never a call like this, threatening to put me out of business if I don’t cut the video.”

Masada told Judicial Watch that, as soon as the video got posted on the Laugh Factory website, he received a phone call from a “prominent” person inside Clinton’s campaign. “He said the video was disgusting and asked who put me up to this,” Masada said. The Clinton staffer, who Masada did not want to identify, also demanded to know the names and phone numbers of the comedians that appear in the video. Masada refused and hung up. He insists that the comedy stage is a sanctuary for freedom of speech no matter who is offended. “Just last night we had (Emmy-award winner) Dana Carvey doing Donald Trump and it was hilarious,” Masada said.

Out of curiosity I watched the video and although I did not think the comedians were very funny that is not the point. The point is these comedians have the first amendment protection of the freedom of speech and have done nothing worthy of being targeted by a political campaign simply because the person running for President is thin-skinned and cannot take a joke or two.

If Hillary Clinton cannot take the jokes of several comedians who nobody has ever heard of perhaps she does not have the temperament to be President…

If The Incredible Build loses the election will she blame it on the video?

Judging by history we would have to say yes. Didn’t she also block some video during the last election which still has not been released? Or was that Obama? I cannot remember.

Didn’t Hill-a-beans say the reason for the Benghazi attack was “the jokes of several comedians who nobody has ever heard of”?

That’s as good an excuse as any and pretty close to what she did say!

Which goes to show the type and form of minions she has working for her. Hillary for sure wasn’t the one who caught it for the first time. No, her small minded Huma no doubt was told about it.

“I have received complains before but never a call like this, threatening to put me out of business if I don’t cut the video.”

Uh–that seems pretty heavy-handed and thuggish, even for Democrats.

Not for the first time, the thought crosses one’s mind that it’s a totally different world today from the one in which Mr. and Mrs. Clinton first learned politics, just a couple of decades ago. Maybe their mafia-like ways would have worked (or did work) back then. Maybe in the age of the Internet and new media, they hardly work at all, and also look ridiculous. Maybe it’s too late for an old dog to learn new tricks. (How fortunate for us!)

I mean, in the Saturday Night Live sketch of Hillary’s campaign launch, Bill remarks, If they’d had smartphones/videos when I was president, I’d be in jail!
    Funny because it’s true?

“He said the video was disgusting and asked who put me up to this . . . .”

OK, that part sounds pretty normal for a liberal! The enormous ego, the conviction that the only reason anyone would make a joke at one’s expense must be a sinister conspiracy…

I hadn’t heard Bill’s comment about smartphones before but I am sure when he said it he was only half joking because he knew it was true. It sure is a different age nowadays and Hillary still hasn’t caught up.

Come to think of it, does the Clinton campaign harass Saturday Night Live every time they do another sketch about her? It’s a kind of scathing caricature.

You know how you can make fun of your parents, but nobody else is allowed to? Same with SNL. Ultimately, SNL and all of 30 rock is leftist. Tina Fey personally destroyed Palin, so although probably not happy, Hill-a-beans won’t bite the hand that feeds her.
