Appeals court rebukes the IRS and the Justice Department over targeting scandal

March 23, 2016

It has been a looooong time since we have had an update on the IRS’s targeting scandal but, according to this story, a Federal appeals court has rebuked both the IRS for the scandal and the Injustice Department for not acting in good faith during the investigation. Here is more:

A federal appeals court spanked the IRS Tuesday, saying it has taken laws designed to protect taxpayers from the government and turned them on their head, using them to try to protect the tax agency from the very tea party groups it targeted.

The judges also accused the Justice Department lawyers, who are representing the IRS in the case, of acting in bad faith — compounding the initial targeting — by fighting the disclosure.

“The lawyers in the Department of Justice have a long and storied tradition of defending the nation’s interests and enforcing its laws — all of them, not just selective ones — in a manner worthy of the Department’s name. The conduct of the IRS’s attorneys in the district court falls outside that tradition,” Judge Raymond Kethledge wrote in a unanimous opinion for a three-judge panel of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. “We expect that the IRS will do better going forward.”

Furthermore, the court ordered the IRS to turn over a list of all targeted groups so that a class-action lawsuit could proceed:

The judges ordered the IRS to quickly turn over the full list of groups it targeted so that a class-action lawsuit, filed by the NorCal Tea Party Patriots, can proceed.

I had pretty much given up on anything coming from this scandal as it has been stalled for months and I am not getting my hopes up here that anything will come from this ruling either. The IRS will probably claim the list is not recoverable because it was on Lois Lerner’s hard drive…

That woman was paid off nicely, doubt there will be any singing going on, but one can hope! Let me put it this way, “I don’t like the cut of her jib”! That should sum it up for you.

That is the only way to get to the bottom of this but the Congress doesn’t seem willing to do it Bunkerville. And I think that is because the establishment Republicans really do not have a problem with the IRS targeting conservative groups.

OT or is it? I just saw this video of the TRIFECTA trio that you need to watch. It is about Obama, the POS, going to Cuba and how they feel about it: be sure and take your blood meds before watching!

No, he and the family have more traveling to do on our dime…all he wanted to do was badmouth Americans and spend our money.

It seems that each of these compartment arms of the corrupt try to get more of the pie. There’s only so much to go around but if they work it, they can acquire a bigger portion! I was just reading about CISPA being voted on a few days after the Boston Marathon False Flag, when everyone’s ‘attention’ was being directed that way, and passed. I’d think that these Gov. octopus arms each get their take too of personal information provided from unrestricted data mining, which is used to target certain individuals as well. So, it’s not only their records they can use but whatever else is confiscated under this Act (and not covered!) – deteriorating the 4th Amendment. Lois is probably just a red-herring while the other things go on as if normal and procedural.
