Hillary Clinton used a personal email account while she was a Senator

June 1, 2016

Longtime Hillary Clinton aide Cheryl Mills testified in Judicial Watch’s inquiry into Hillary Clinton’s decision to use a personal email server to conduct ALL State Department business on and the testimony was pretty damaging. But it gets even more interesting today because, according to this story, Cheryl Mills testified that the former Secretary of State also used a personal email account while she was the Senator from New York–she just carried the policy over to the State Department.

  Here is more:

Hillary Clinton used a personal email account for official business during her tenure in the U.S. Senate and carried the practice over once she was at the helm of the State Department, an aide to the presumptive Democratic nominee for president said in sworn testimony released Tuesday.

Cheryl Mills, Mrs. Clinton’s chief of staff during the White House hopeful’s four-year stint with the State Department, said her former boss relied on a personal email account provided by AT&T for about three months after being sworn in as secretary of state by President Obama in January 2009.

“Secretary Clinton continued a practice that she was using of [sic] her personal email,” Ms. Mills testified Friday, according to a transcript of her remarks released this week by Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group currently suing the State Dept. over Mrs. Clinton’s use of a nongovernmental email system while in office.

“So Secretary Clinton used — always used one email account when she was using an email account,” Ms. Mills testified. “So when she initially arrived [at the State Dept.] she was continuing to use the AT&T accounts, and then transitioned to the .Clinton email, or account. And during her tenure those were the two addresses, if you will, that she used.”

This makes one wonder how many other Senators and Representatives were engaged in this practice but it does not excuse the former Secretary of State and in fact she may have set the standard others have followed because she has been hiding emails since her time as First Lady.

Thanks for the link. For some reason I can’t picture her toiling away over a keyboard. In fact, it is out there that she didn’t/wouldn’t use passwords and her Blackberry was as far in High Tech she has risen. Mills testified that Bill set up the server so he could communicate. He says himself he may have written one email. All in all, nothing holds up with all of this. A whole bunch of people were reading typing her email.

You are welcome! You are right, none of the story holds water. Bill let the cat out of the bag when he said he has only sent one email. This story is getting interesting now.

I figured you were tied up with the grandchildren but I was getting ready to send you an email just to make sure everything was okay! Family is always the number one priority in my book…

Thanks for sharing that. Hopefully as the investigation continues the FBI will start looking at more and more. They have many skeletons in their closet and it is time for some of them to come out.

I do not want the FBI to try and finish up quickly, I think and hopefully am right, that Comey is doing a CYA job of taking her down….then we will see what the DOJ does….or rather, we KNOW what they will do…nothing. Then, I see stuff starting to leak out of “off the record” information….at least let us hope that will happen.

Comey is doing a proper investigation. Methodical, and by the numbers. Slowing down the pace, ensures that nothing is overlooked. Why? Because any politically charged investigation has ramifications, and a former First Lady, has political pull.
If hillary would have come out and helped, everything would have been a matter of a mistake but, the email erasures. The servers. Pagliano. Huma. A staff with emails and no security clearances. The Clinton Foundation, etc., and it’s up to over one hundred investigators, and over 100,000 pages of investigative findings, and still growing. It’s behind a phone call and sweeping it under the rug. Espionage. Treason. Money Laundering. It’s no wonder that Comey is proceeding with the investigation at a very cautious pace. What we do not know, is whether Lynch will proceed for any federal indictment, and, if prosecuted, whether Obama will interfere or meddle, which will ignite another investigation, and if hillary is convicted, what if anything will be done, beyond maybe six months probation and a promise not to do it, again, just like the Gitmo detainees had to promise not to return to the battlefield, and we all know how well that little gem worked out.
If Trump wins the election, he should not grant clemency to BHO or anyone from his administration, past or present. Trump might have no option but refuse clemency because the FBI might have such damning evidence in a tiny base hit investigation that morphed into some Godzilla.

Well. Britt, it is not as if Clinton doesn’t deserve what she gets….she has been crooked for years and I am hoping that she has one hell of a pay back for what she has done to this Country….yep, Comey HAS to move slow and to cover all his bases.

I like the pace of this as well Lou and Rifleman. If he rushed this to get it over before the election it would look to be politically motivated in order to make it a non-issue and surely things would be missed. They need to take their time and be thorough. Hillary could be suffering through a slow, agonizing political death.

I heard Judge Jeanine Pirro once talking about Comey, she says he is not someone that can do anything BUT what is right….I believe her. I just do not think he will let politics come into play like so many others have.

The Sergeant at Arms is the largest in size of staff and budget in the Senate. It is responsible for all Senate computers and technology support services, recording and photographic services, printing and graphics services, and telecommunications services.

How the US Senate computer system works seems like a good research project. The Senate uses for email, so your senator would be So your senator gets a lot of email each day. How could they sort through these to set priority for a response? How does someone important contact the Senator? Is there an intra senate email – I suspect there might be. What are the senate rules on personal computer usage and records?

I don’t think many people’s emails ever get read by the intended party. I am sure they have people who sift through them to see which way the wind is blowing on particular issues but other than that I don’t think they care what the people write them.

Judge Nap: Hillary’s Top Aide Gave a ‘Devastating’ Answer About Her Emails

Attorney: Okay. Did they have access to the Secretary’s e-mail account so they could search her e-mails in response to the FOIA request?

Mills: To my knowledge, they did not have access to her e-mail account. To my knowledge, the information where her e-mail was — if there was a topic that would have been related, would have been in the communications that she would have either had on paper, communications that she would have had in other materials that she received, or in exchanges that she had with e-mail with individuals on their State account.

There is a video in this article which is very interesting.

Thanks for the link! From what I read of the testimony it did not look good for Hillary but the sad fact is that the Dems don’t care if she broke the law.

Maybe everyone needs to remember Hillary took an oath when she became Secretay of State “…to uphold and defend the Constitution…”

I guess she had her fingers crossed.
