New CNN poll shows Donald Trump leading in Colorado and surging in Pennsylvania

September 26, 2016

I am no longer looking at national polls because it is the individual state polls which really matter and in recent weeks we have seen Donald Trump making headway in several swing states, so much in fact that he now has a clear path to 270 Electoral College votes.

A new CNN poll is out which shows Donald Trump now in the lead in Colorado and surging in Pennsylvania, here is more:

In a four way match up, Trump leads Clinton 42 percent to 41 percent in Colorado, according to a new CNN/ORC poll.

Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson raked in 13 percent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein received three percent.

In a head-to-head match up between Trump and Clinton in Colorado, the poll shows she leads by two points, 49 percent to 47 percent.

The margin of error for the survey is plus or minus three points.

This is a very slim lead and within the margin of error but it is still pretty telling he is even close in a state which leans heavily Democratic.

Here are the results of the CNN poll in Pennsylvania:

In Pennsylvania, a new CNN/ORC poll reveals that Clinton leads Trump by one point in a four way match up, 45 to 44 percent. Johnson has six percent in the Pennsylvania poll, while Stein received three percent.

Earlier this month, polls showed Clinton leading Trump by as many as eight points.

In a head-to-head match up, the Pennsylvania poll reveals Clinton leads by three points ahead of the Republican nominee, 50 percent to 47 percent.

Hillary Clinton still leads the billionaire businessman but he has cut a once fairly solid lead down and made it for all intents and purposes a dead heat.

Donald Trump clearly has the momentum heading into tonight’s debate. Tonight’s debate could be a make or break moment in the campaign for both candidates. We already know the mainstream media will declare Hillary Clinton the winner in the debate but it will be interesting to see how the voters actually respond to the debate when the first post-debate state polls come out.

Steve, I have my popcorn ready! This is gonna be epic. Will she choke (literally)? Will she start having a fit of Tourettes or spazing out at the pressure? Will she collapse and start doing the chicken on the floor?

Wait, oh yea… There are issues that need discussing rent there? LOL!

I jest, of course, but you have to admit the anticipation is mounting! 😉 😉

Are the polls a surprise? Hillary is on vacation and is not campaigning and Trump has been going everywhere. The grassroots electorate vs the corporate elite and their msm. Hillary has turned off a lot of Democratic voters like she did in 2008.

We’ll see if she gets back on the trail now that her debate prep excuse is gone. I think she is too weak to do much campaigning and I think people are beginning to realize it.

Don’t forget she has to rest after the debate because she is exhausted! Her schedule only has fund raising dinners on it.

Funny how she has enough stamina to meet with the high rollers but not the ordinary people, isn’t it?!

Off topic, but for those who previously followed Jim over at Conservatives of Fire, I wanted to let you know that I have heard from him. He is well he said, and has moved to the Western part of the Country. He has an Ipad and some internet and hopes by winter to be up and posting some what. It is hard to know as I didn’t probe because of the political situation but sounds like he is safe where he is..

Thank you so much for this news! I have been very worried about him, he hasn’t posted in months and I was concerned. I am so glad he is okay and hopes to be posting again soon.
