George Soros linked group to help Facebook flag ‘fake news’

December 16, 2016

As if it were not bad enough that Facebook (which was hiding conservative stories during the election) was going to use left-leaning Snopes, PolitiFact, and ABC to start flagging so-called “fake news” we are now learning that a George Soros linked group is behind some of the funding for the effort.

  Here is more:

The organization partnered with Facebook to help determine whether a certain story is “disputed” is financed by billionaire George Soros and a slew of other left-wing funders.

The International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) drafted a code of five principles for news websites to accept, and Facebook yesterday announced it will work with “third-party fact checking organizations” that are signatories to the code of principles.

IFCN is hosted by the Poynter Institute for Media Studies. A cursory search of the Poynter Institute website finds that Poynter’s IFCN is openly funded by Soros’ Open Society Foundations as well as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Google, and the National Endowment for Democracy.

Poynter’s IFCN is also funded by the Omidyar Network, which is the nonprofit for liberal billionaire eBay founder Pierre Omidyar. The Omidyar Network has partnered with the Open Society on numerous projects and it has given grants to third parties using the Soros-funded Tides Foundation.  Tides is one of the largest donors to left-wing causes in the U.S.

What else needs to be said here? I am sure this is going to be on the level…

malo periculosam libertatem quam quietum servitium

We knew this was coming. I bet other sources will develop. Gab for one. Search engines the same way. I remember when Google had an option for searching blogs rears ago.

Yeah, this one has been in the works for awhile and now they are beginning to move forward. But this is only the beginning. Now that you mention it I remember that Google option as well!

We know their definition of ‘fake news’ is what incriminates them – the truth. They can’t have that out there. All this brings to mind what Trump stated about news group lies. Maybe that’s why their spinning this to confuse the point: They’re the one’s he was referring to (CNN esp.).

Exactly! The revolution will be complete when the language is perfect…

The Nimrod mentality revised – marketing itself as new and improved“And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. … let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.’
Even back then the LORD referred to them as children of men not “children of God” – there’s a Big difference! Their language wasn’t of Him rather the god of this world and its system, and THAT’S what we’re seeing today. The same ‘mindset’ of iniquity growing – the cesspool, weed mentality of depravity.

It really is the same mentality, isn’t it? People in power thinking they are the gods and that they can be our moral compass but all they are really doing is leading us to ruination.

To be honest, anybody that is getting news from Facebook has bigger problems than the propaganda.

What’s the worry? The wolves will do a very good job of guarding the hen house. How could it be otherwise?

Oh man. This dialogue gets deeper than I can follow. I know fake news when I see it & common sense prevails. Unfortunately, for financial reasons, I’m limited to MSM & FB for most input. I think I do a decent job of dispelling it, myself listening to El Rushbo almost daily. He’s the sanest voice in the group IMO, but being limited to MSM/FB (and reading between their lines) it seems ABC is the better (if there is one)? God help US.
