Steve Bannon tried to bully the Freedom Caucus into backing Obamacare replacement bill

March 26, 2017

In the days leading up to the Obamacare replacement non-vote it became quite clear that the conservatives–namely the Freedom Caucus–were not happy and wanted changes. Eventually they were able to get a couple of small concessions but not nearly enough to win any of them over.

It became pretty clear that Paul Ryan and the establishment Republicans were not going to budge and if this story is true it turns out Steve Bannon basically dared the conservatives to vote against this bill–basically trying to bully them into voting in favor of a piece of legislation they did not agree with. Here is more:

White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon told a group of House conservatives they had no choice but to back the GOP’s ObamaCare repeal bill days before the bill was pulled, according to a new report.

Bannon confronted members of the House Freedom Caucus earlier this week during the White House’s push for the American Health Care Act, Axios’s Mike Allen reported Saturday in his newsletter.

“Guys, look. This is not a discussion. This is not a debate. You have no choice but to vote for this bill,” Bannon reportedly said.

But of course this is the Congress and debate is what the Congress does, they did have a choice and they exercised it and Steve Bannon’s attempt at bulling the Freedom Caucus backfired. Perhaps Donald Trump and Steve Bannon can learn a valuable lesson from all of this with the realization that they are going to have to work with the conservatives in the Congress if they want to get anything done. They cannot just dictate what they want and expect to get it.

I think everyone needs to re watch episodes of the Apprentice and remember how the story went. Paul Ryan was the Apprentice. He told Trump he had a plan and he could deliver the votes. Trump and his staff gave their full support to Ryan. Trump even meet with the FC. He also had Ryan prepare a presentation on the steps that need to be taken. Ryan forgot he was put in office by the FC,. He also forgot to work with them. Ryan screwed up. i don’t think the votes are there to replace him, but that is what should happen.

Ryan should be replaced but that is not going to happen. At least not yet, if this continues I don’t know how he can stay.

I read similar reports and had to smile. I remember that Messrs. Clinton and Obama also thought that they had full ownership of their parties’ majorities in Cingress, and ran into significant challenges whilst learning that the Congress is a co-equal branch of our government.

I don’t remember the early days of the two Bush presidencies in detail, but I’m sure they also had their growing pains.

Looking for silver linings to the Trump Presidency, but perhaps this defeat gave him some humility. I get the sense that when he returns to healthcare, he’s going to put a lot more effort into understanding it. I think it’s also critical (sorry, Steve) that he learn to stop insulting people, start working with Dems, and perhaps most importantly, make meaningful compromises that benefit everyone.

Take good care and may God bless us all.

I guess it all depends on who’s padding their bank accts. the most as to what they vote for or against! Maybe a look into and putting the kibosh to that would solve much of the underhanded dealing!
And ‘Yes’ to God Bless us all and us be open to receive His Blessing! And to you!

Sadly they are all bought and paid for by special interests. The Democrat voters like to talk about the Koch brothers but the left is not immune from the sell out.

I was listening to an airing of some talking about the now dead David Rockefeller and how that won’t stop the Deep State (Shadow Gov.) corruption and process at all! Stating too the ‘dark influence’ that will be filled into someone else … who you will ‘recognize them’ by their words – the wording will be reflective of his (same spirit). It’s like ‘charisma’ that extra spiritual filling. So, $$$ (the god whom they trust) plus the spirit behind it continue on their ‘tower of power’ goal.

I am sure there is someone ready to step into his place and he has been prepared for a long time.

Hopefully he has learned a lesson from this but I guess we will have to wait and see. I think it is beyond time for him to give up Twitter.

Read in Newsmax that the GOP felt ‘boxed in’ by Ryan (Ryno) the RINO’s bill – the devil’s in the details and there’s LOTs of ‘um.

To show the ‘mentality’ of those being paid – or just ‘brain bent’ – to shut down a CA Trump Rally – notice they get them from the back! Never turn your back on a libtard!

Well we shall see who the real Trumpster is…. He never made any effort to inform us what was in the bill but then nothing really was. It was on to stage two and stage three as if we are the fools to think that would ever happen. How stupid do they think we are? Apparently pretty stupid.
