Paul Ryan’s approval rating plummets

April 25, 2017

paul-ryanPaul Ryan’s agenda, and the establishment Republicans as a whole for that matter, seems to be what amounts to a war of attrition against Donald Trump. We saw it with the Obamacare replacement bill and we are seeing it now on the border wall. And we should not forget he has stated not to expect much in regards to tax reform.

It appears to me as if Paul Ryan has made the political calculation that he can outlast Donald Trump and that is what he intends to do. He would rather see Donald Trump fail and possibly lose reelection because he would rather work with a political insider in the next administration and he feels fairly certain he will still be in office after the 2018 election and in 2020 as well.

However his unwillingness to work with Donald Trump may be costing him as his approval rating is plummeting, here is more:

A Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll released Monday found growing disapproval of Speaker of the House Paul Ryan.

Forty percent of Americans hold an unfavorable view of Ryan, compared to only 22% who view him positively, according to the poll. The numbers represent a major decline in popularity since February, when Ryan’s net favorability was only one percentage point negative. The same drop in support is mirrored among Republican poll respondents, with net favorability falling from 49-points to 23 in the same period.

Ryan’s drop in popularity was more significant than that among the long-abysmally low rating for Congress as a whole.

The three issues I mentioned above–Obamacare repeal, the border wall, and tax reform–are the reason why the voters sent Donald Trump to Washington in the first place and he is failing on all counts. He pushed a fast-track Obamacare repeal bill which did not repeal Obamacare, he opposes the wall, and he is in no hurry to push tax reform. Because of this, and his hubris, he is losing the battle of attrition and it could cost him in the long run.

Paul Ryan has been ensconced in Washington far too long and he is misreading the will of the people who sent Donald Trump to Washington. But it should be remembered that this is a national poll and might not necessarily reflect the will of his constituents so it is quite possible he could hold on to his seat but I do think this could cause him to lose his Speakership in 2018 unless he gets on board with Donald Trump’s agenda.

Trump needs to take it to the people. He needs to take Congress on. At this rate, the Courts will slowly erode his E.O.’s and Congress will give him nothing. Yep, the calculation is the GOP will hold out and at this rate the Dems will have the Congress by 2018.

    “All politics is local”

So are the voters in Ryan’s district unhappy? Since he hasn’t done anything there is no paper trail. His district could be 100% behind his health care proposal and feel the FC is to blame for its defeat.

Good luck to any candidate who can overcome this financial hurdle

Rigged voting machines can do wonders and since he’s working for the Deep State (Rino’s) how can he lose unless ‘American’ hackers join in like the White Hats did to put the kibosh on Hilly’s attempted steal!
[I notice they call the UN pawns the ‘white helmet’ … totally different grp.]

The GOP would do well to exchange their iconic elephant symbol for the lemming.

He’s such a wholesome boy he elected to fund abortionist plan parenthood and scrub the wall. He’s more tilted than I realized. What gets me too is how he ‘prides’ himself in eating right, exercising, etc to keep healthy – it’s all about him though and no care about the welfare of others (he’s suppose to be representing). Another cesspool swamp creature.
