House Oversight Committee to open investigation into Barack Obama’s Iran nuclear deal

May 5, 2017

Last month we learned that some of the prisoners Barack Obama released as part of the Iran nuclear deal were, despite his claim to the contrary at the time, high level Iranian operatives. Around the same time as we learned about this the left-leaning website Politico released a much-ignored report that this deal seems to have violated the National Counterproliferation Initiative.

While the media ignored this story it seems to have caught the eye of leaders within the House Oversight Committee and they have announced they are launching an investigation into this story.

  Here is more:

Citing a POLITICO investigation, Republican leaders of the House oversight committee said Friday they have launched a sweeping investigation into whether the Obama administration, in trying to win support for a nuclear deal and prisoner swap with Tehran last year, undermined an ambitious U.S. counterproliferation effort to thwart Iranian weapons trafficking networks.

Also in response to the POLITICO investigation, 13 Republican senators have demanded answers about whether the Obama administration jeopardized U.S. national security as a result of its protracted top-secret negotiations with Tehran, and then misled the American public when disclosing the terms of the two deals in January 2016.

  And more still:

The House and Senate lawmakers cited various portions of an April 24 report by POLITICO that found that the Obama administration, through actions in some cases and inaction in others, significantly hampered a much-touted federal law enforcement effort known as the National Counterproliferation Initiative at a time when it was making unprecedented headway in thwarting Iran’s illicit weapons proliferation activities.

In their May 5 letter, Republican Reps. Jason Chaffetz and Ron DeSantis asked Attorney General Jeff Sessions to produce an exhaustive volume of Justice Department documents that they said would “help the Committee in better understanding these issues.”

One would have to believe Jeff Sessions will be more forthcoming with information on this issue as Attorney General than was Loretta Lynch when it came to Hillary Clinton and her email scandal after she was rolled by Bill Clinton on an airport tarmac in Arizona.

Don’t hold your breath or get your hopes up.

On another important issue Judicial Watch says the “Trump Administration Asks Court Again to Keep [ Hillary’s and BO’s] Benghazi Records Secret”

“Does President Trump know his State and Justice Departments are still trying to provide cover for Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama?” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “An extraordinary court ruling that could result in key answers about the Benghazi outrage is being opposed by the Trump administration. This may well be an example of the ‘deep state’ trying to get away with a cover up – if so then the Trump administration must put a stop to it.”

Trump is controlled by the deep state. Kushner is controlled by Soros.

If just one brick in the wall crumbles we may be on to something. That is our better chance IMO. I keep thinking about the Watergate hearings.. out of nowhere it started to crumble. Some peon who gets his back up against the wall. Other than that, I am in agreement.

You are right, we need one underling who fears taking the fall for a higher up to turn and then maybe something will come out of this.
