Donald Trump is quietly continuing Barack Obama’s ‘catch and release’ illegal immigration program

May 31, 2017

Reports indicate that illegal border crossings are down roughly 60-70% since Donald Trump was elected to the office of the Presidency but Border Patrol Agents are claiming that despite Donald Trump supposedly ending Barack Obama’s “catch and release” policy the policy is still being implemented–just at a lower level comparative to lower lower level of illegal border crossings.

  Here is more:

President Donald J. Trump is allowing former President Barack Obama’s “catch and release” of illegal immigrants to continue deep into his administration’s term with no end in sight to the controversial open borders protocol. Border Patrol agents are once again sounding the alarm and alerting the public about the separation between DC’s rhetoric and the realities on the U.S.-Mexico border — a practice that the agents hoped would become unnecessary under the Trump Administration.

Border Patrol is saying that even though the numbers are down right now it will not be sustained because there have been no substantial changes to border border security:

Though Trump’s interior enforcement of U.S. immigration laws has resulted in far fewer illegal crossings at the border, agents say that low numbers will not be sustained because the Trump Administration has not actually made substantial changes within border security as a whole. Everyone dealing with immigration issues should get help from an immigration attorney where everything could get solved easily.

Border Patrol Agent Brandon Judd, President of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC), spoke with Breitbart Texas on Trump’s quiet continuation of Obama’s catch and release. He stated, “Obama’s catch and release is definitely continuing and our government is releasing illegal aliens into U.S. communities. The steps taken for such releases have slightly changed and the numbers are not as high, but it is still occurring. Under Trump, ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] is holding more illegal aliens than what they did under Obama, but make no mistake, ICE is still releasing a good number of illegal aliens into U.S. communities. Americans need to know this.”
It is unfair to pin the blame on Donald Trump, and it was equally unfair for me to claim Donald Trump is quietly continuing Barack Obama’s “catch and release” policy in my headline, because it is fairly clear he is trying to crack down on illegal immigration. He simply is not getting any help from the Republicans in the Congress who refuse to help him build the wall.

The same problem with the number of “refugees” he is letting in. With that, the problem is he hasn’t replaced the Obama appointees. He must drain his own swamp of leftovers.

That’s what I was going to mention Bunker. THAT is really upsetting. Although it is the State Dept. doing it. If PDT were to follow thru with his verbal promise he’d fire the director and all those who pushed it thru. when he was away. Maybe he didn’t know they were going to do it, but the Deep State and commie Utopians are everywhere continuing their ruin America Agenda. Doing away with traitors, isn’t that in the Founder’s writings somewhere!

I am not sure why hasn’t gotten rid of them already, I wonder if he is afraid to now after all the heat he took over Comey.

There is a bill in Congress, Davis-Oliver Act, which would authorize states and local jurisdictions to pass and enforce immigration laws that are consistent with federal law, expand the list of deportable offenses, accelerate expedited removal, and authorize hiring 12,500 additional Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The people at CBP are Trump appointees. The head of the BP was recommended by the BP union. There is a huge backlog for prosecuting illegal aliens. The emphasis maybe solely focused on criminals and terrorist and gang members.
