Dianne Feinstein calls for an investigation into Loretta Lynch after James Comey’s testimony
I feel like I am living in the Bizarro World today: first I agreed with Lindsey Graham and now, even more shockingly, I agree with Dianne Feinstein.
There were a couple of blockbuster revelations from James Comey last week during his testimony before they were sidetracked by Donald Trump, probably most notably that Loretta Lynch tried to provide cover for the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email scandal during the election.
Dianne Feinstein appeared on State of the Union earlier today and she stated the Congress should open up an investigation into Loretta Lynch and the possibility that she pressured James Comey to provide cover for the Clinton campaign during the election, here is more:
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said Sunday that Congress should investigate whether former Attorney General Loretta Lynch pressured former FBI Director James Comey to cover for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton‘s presidential campaign.
“I think we need to know more about that,” Feinstein told host Brianna Keilar on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
“And there’s only way to know about it, and that’s to have the Judiciary Committee take a look at that,” Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said.
Comey testified last Thursday that he felt “queasy” after Lynch asked him to characterize his probe into Clinton’s emails as a “matter,” rather than an investigation. He told the Senate Intelligence Committee that such a request would match the wording of Clinton’s campaign.
Feinstein, who is a member of the Senate Intelligence panel, said she would’ve also felt queasy.
“I would have a queasy feeling, too, though, to be candid with you,” the longtime Senate Democrat said.
She added that an investigation separate from the ongoing probe into Russian interference in the election is needed.
“I don’t think we should mix the two,” she added.
I have written in the past that the Democrats might rue the day they pushed the Russian collusion conspiracy theory instead of accepting blame for their loss because they are not clean themselves when it comes to election shenanigans and now we might be seeing this come to fruition…

When I read that last week, I was not surprised one bit. I thought their explanation was BS… and the Democrats wonder why they lost.

They’ll probably start tossing a bunch under the bus to keep it from rolling over on them.

And one of the biggest surprises for me was that it was Susan Collins from Maine who asked the question as to whether Comey had leaked the info…. my friends and I often rail against Collins and had opined that she would be of no help in the hearing. Tomorrow another big day with Sessions.

I didn’t realize it was Collins who asked the question, I guess we owe her kudos for that! Tomorrow is going to be very interesting.

Leave the Clinton’s alone. Comey is disgruntled because Hillary named Comey as one of the reasons she lost the election. Comey also mentioned “the matter” so that he can put it in his tell-all book. So it was retaliation plus opportunity on his part. Seems like Comey was forced to leak because he was threatened, but then it came out he already leaked it.
