Senate Republicans want Loretta Lynch to testify after hearing James Comey testify

June 18, 2017

When James Comey testified last week two things went unnoticed by the mainstream media and by the Democrats. The first is that the former FBI Director admitted he did not feel as if Donald Trump tried to obstruct justice. (The same was said by three people who testified the day before James Comey.)

And the second issue the mainstream media and the Democrats considered a non-story was his testimony that Loretta Lynch did in fact influence the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email scandal and that he was concerned about the now infamous Arizona airport tarmac meeting between she and Bill Clinton.

It is the latter issue we are going to discuss today.

According to this story the Senate Republicans are very interested in this and are seeking to have Loretta Lynch testify in front of the Congress about her involvement in the Hillary Clinton email scandal in the wake of James Comey’s testimony. Here is more:

Senate Republicans are clamoring to hear from Loretta Lynch after former FBI Director James Comey raised concerns about her involvement in the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee are seizing on Comey’s testimony earlier this month that he was concerned over the former attorney general telling the FBI to refer to the Clinton investigation as a “matter,” which resembled the Clinton campaign line.
Sen. John Cornyn (Texas), the No. 2 Senate Republican who is a member of both the Intelligence and Judiciary committees, said it “would be very helpful” for Lynch to testify before the Judiciary panel, which oversees the Justice Department.
“Frankly, a lot of what Hillary Clinton was exposed to by Director Comey’s misconduct and the way he handled that was apparently in response to his lack of confidence in the attorney general, and I think there is a lot we could learn from that,” Cornyn said.
  And more:
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) also wants to hear from Lynch and is pushing for the Judiciary Committee to “get more involved.”

“The accusations now that … the current and former attorney general were political — that has nothing to do with Russia as much as it has to do with how the Department of Justice is being run,” he said. “I want to find out all about that.”

Charles Grassley, who was quick to call for an investigation into Donald Trump’s firing of James Comey, has not made a decision about this even though it comes from the same James Comey testimony and he has actually had longer to look at the Loretta Lynch situation because the airport tarmac meeting was held last Summer.

Charles Grassley’s office has said it is likely Loretta Lynch’s testimony “will become necessary at some point.” Why the delay? I have been saying that I believe the Democrats could rue the day they kept pushing the Russia collusion scandal because they are not clean and maybe, just maybe, this will be the beginning.

I want Lynch, under oath, hooked to a polygraph machine, and secure her with jumper cables attached to a pickup truck alternator, for when she starts lying through her teeth. (>ZAP!<)

I am sick of all these phony committee hearings. All the Committee is going to do is muck up the investigation and prejudice a potential case against Lynch.

If the Senate is truly concerned then they should request the DOJ Inspector General review the allegation that FBI Director Comedy was influenced by the AG Lynch. If the IG makes a finding of obstruction of justice then a criminal complaint recommendation needs to be filed with AG Sessions.

There is no doubt these are a bunch of show trials and will lead to nowhere. It is time to let the special investigator handle this but the Congress wants to make it look like they are doing something.

I hope you are right,, the other possibility is that Comey et al has a ton of dirt on them and are scared to death. I read that many who might have joined Trump have found this whole thing a chilling effect on joining him, I couldn’t blame them if it is going to require them getting an attorney.

I wouldn’t blame them either! Trump certainly is not helping the situation by Tweeting about an ongoing investigation. Maybe Comey has dirt on them all, I don’t doubt that he does, and maybe eventually this will come back to haunt the Dems.

Sen. Lindsey Graham & Charles Grassley are like ravens & crows who sit on the top of telephone poles cawing and making noise, ‘look at me, look at me … I’m important and demand to be heard!’ A rock tossed just right or a BBgun pellet can convince them otherwise. Laws are put in place to protect the fowl creatures though, so one can only scare them away – but that’s better than hearing their nonsense!
Anytime Lindsey’s involved you know its cesspool talk.

Doesn’t he look cute! 🙂 You are right about these two, they like to be heard and sound important but in the end they accomplish nothing.
