John Podesta to testify in front of the Congress next week about Russia scandal

June 22, 2017

This one should be interesting one way or the other: it is now being reported in this story that John Podesta will testify in front of the House Intelligence Committee next week. Here is more:

The House intelligence committee next week plans to interview John Podesta, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign chairman whose hacked email account became central to Russian meddling in the US election last year, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter.

Podesta will be one of the committee’s first major witnesses to meet with the panel behind closed doors as it tries to determine the extent of the Russian involvement in last year’s campaign and whether any of President Donald Trump’s associates coordinated with the Russians.
John Podesta already has two potential strikes against him: First, he fell for a phishing scam which led to the hacking although he claims it was due to a typo. Even if this excuse is legitimate it is troubling coming from a man with a security clearance. To paraphrase James Comey about Hillary Clinton it was extremely careless to say the least.
And second; Julian Assange has claimed that John Podesta’s password was “password.”  As of right now this has not been verified however when pressed Democrats are forced to admit there is no evidence Donald Trump colluded with the Russians and yet they still claim it is true so I see nothing wrong in mentioning it here. If this is true it would be another example of extreme carelessness by somebody with a security clearance.
Like I wrote above, this is going to be very interesting testimony but unfortunately his testimony will be behind closed doors so we are going to have to rely on anonymous sources  leaking the transcript to the Washington Post or the New York Times and even then we will have to take what these fake news outlets for what it is worth.
The left was hoping to find the smoking gun in James Comey’s testimony and it was not there, now they will be pinning their hopes on John Podesta to find something they can run with.

I think this committee is chaired by Nunes… the enuch. Not the Senate, Rather it be the Judiciary and the Senate. Didn’t Gowdy take the House Judiciary? Looks to me that they would want to interview people lower down the food chain first….

Yes, shouldn’t you start with the IT staff? But then again this is another dog and pony show.
Are the Democrats on the Committees going to recuse themselves since this is a conflict of interest?

Unfortunately that is all this is, it is a show being put on to distract the people and derail Trump’s agenda.

True, start at the bottom and work your way up hoping to get the goods on somebody before they testify. I think they are doing this for the press so the story will stay alive.

Lucky for Podesta he is a member of the Clinton Crime Family Cartel. He has virtual immunity from prosecution of any crimes or illegalities large or small….unless of course he was getting BJ’s from underage interns on the Clinton campaign and even then any slap on the wrist would depend on whether they spit or swallowed.

They sure know how to ‘make it look like they’re using time to legitimize their wages’ but ‘appearances’ don’t make it so. How very boring.
I guess doing something of worth just isn’t in the mix with them. There’s SO many things they could do to ‘waste’ their time that might even bring about something of worth! but it’s all ‘show’ no one gets in the club unless they agree to be ‘void of actions that are of any redeemable value.’

You’ve got that right Zip, this is all a show trying to make it look like they are doing something when in reality they are doing nothing.

Yes, problem is Steve their “nothing’s” always are directed to turn out for evil. Only by the Grace of God do their plans get thwarted and something good come about! It’s pretty easy to see the road their on – it only goes in one direction = ruin (which they call Utopia and progress)!
