Sunday, July 30th open thread: ‘Fight Like a Brave’

This song has been in my mind this summer: The Summer Wind. Although Frank S. is noted for it, because of his ‘worldly mob affiliation’ I thought to have someone sing it! There’s probably many who sing it better, who may even live in our own neighbors! but this will have to do.

In 8th grade, a gal and I used this song as backdrop for our gym class choreography dance, which got such ‘rave reviews’ the gym teacher though best not to remember it! But the song’s good 🙂

Rush Limbaugh: Propaganda from professors and comedians has “indoctrinated” young people to believe in climate change “…I don’t believe that they ever really thought that their indoctrination would lead to this degree of insanity and wacko-ism, stupidity, and ignorance.
I think they thought they were creating armies of voters for Democrats, but I don’t think they were intending to create an uncontrollable army of absolute idiots. Now, I could be wrong, maybe the behavior by these wacko young people on the left is exactly what has been intended. I wouldn’t be surprised if that were the case. But I think it’s, even for the people who propagandized all this and indoctrinated it, maybe out of hand, because I don’t think — it’s now beyond control. There’s no way to reach these people. They’re just out on a limb. This climate change stuff, listening to what people said about us pulling out — and it’s not just young radicals, American CEOs are saying some of the stupidest things.”

I think Rush might be wrong, I think the Democrats do want an army of easily manipulated idiots!

Yes, possible. That way they’re all on the same level … Borg-Hive mentality. I think what Rush was pointing to is that ‘their Frankenstein’ has gone beyond their control and might do the ‘in’ (or out) as well! (Esp. since many of them wanted Bernie and some realized Hilly shafted him.) That’s why scientist are trying to find the ‘rebellious sin gene‘. The devil can’t have complete control over them if they don’t listen!

Interesting video! Christ is in charge but people have free will and they are choosing to stray from his path. This is not God’s fault, it is the fault of those who chose evil over good.

Yes, there’s that too Steve. I just liked the way Greg so passionately made the point. ☺️There’s also 2 Cor 4:4 that is to be taken into consideration and like in Job 1:6-7: Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
The point is that God already knows the end from the beginning (which makes time travel thoughts of interest possibility!), because even in the OT there’s prophecies of things that will happen and in Rev. for sure. “And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.” Rev 14:20
That’s pretty telling 🤔
