Was the ‘blue wave’ of Texas just a media creation?
Understandably so, one of the Democratic Party’s main goals is to turn Texas into a blue state. If the Democrats ever accomplish this feat it is hard to envision another Republican President and so the mainstream media was abuzz over the last week about the record Democratic early voter turnout in the Texas primary yesterday.
I can understand their enthusiasm at the turnout and the prospects of Texas turning blue but this might be more of a media creation than it seems at first glance. It turns out that even with this record turnout the Republicans still had roughly 500,000 more voters than the Democrats and Ted Cruz alone had more votes than all the Democratic candidates combined.
I cannot post the charts directly but you can check them out here. For all of the hoopla surrounding the Texas primary it looks like this might be a case of the media trying to push its agenda and sway public opinion rather than reporting the news. We will know for certain in November…
malo periculosam libertatem quam quietum servitium
I suspect that at least half of those were Californians who moved to Texas because they couldn’t afford CA anymore. We have way too many of them in Texas, many are liberal to the core and why they want to turn Texas into the California they fled is beyond me.

You could be right. We have the same problem in here in New Hampshire with the Mass and Vermont people coming over the borders.

Oh, I’m right. I’ve been sitting here in Rockport, TX watching it happen as Austin, DFW and San Antonio have been growing by leaps and bounds. Houston grows as fast, but the snowflakes don’t like the heat and humidity.
All the big cities are naturally full of lefties because that is the way of humans, but with all the movement from the blue states to Texas it is a real fear.

Glad you picked this up…what we can discern from new voter registrations in key states as well as this result indicates that the GOP is alive and well despite what is reported. The news of the death of the GOP is greatly exageratted apparently

They are pushing this narrative to try to discourage Republicans in November in the hope of convincing them to stay home while at the same time trying to encourage Democrats to go the the polls. This is one time they are being transparent, although they think they are being stealth.

Here in NJ the liberals are home grown, their numbers augmented by New Yorkers fleeing the astronomical rents there which of course has driven up the rents here to near unaffordable proportions. Well there is no cure for cancer or the mental disorder, so coined by Dr Michael Savage, of liberalism.
