Report: Andrew McCabe authorized an investigation into Jeff Sessions for ‘lack of candor’

March 21, 2018

ABC News is out with a new report which states that Andrew McCabe authorized and investigation into Attorney General Jeff Sessions for “lack of candor.” Here is more:

Nearly a year before Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired senior FBI official Andrew McCabe for what Sessions called a “lack of candor,” McCabe oversaw a federal criminal investigation into whether Sessions lacked candor when testifying before Congress about contacts with Russian operatives, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.

Democratic lawmakers have repeatedly accused Sessions of misleading them in congressional testimony and called on federal authorities to investigate, but McCabe’s previously-unreported decision to actually put the attorney general in the crosshairs of an FBI probe was an exceptional move.

The wording of the opening paragraph is interesting: It fails to mention that Jeff Sessions was following the advice of the FBI. It was the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility which came up with the “lack of candor” language. It also seems to imply Jeff Sessions was hypocritical for firing Andrew McCabe for “lack of candor’ when the Attorney General was accused of the same.

The investigation into Jeff Sessions was authorized one year ago, apparently nothing was found, and Jeff Sessions is no longer under investigation:

“The Special Counsel’s office has informed me that after interviewing the attorney general and conducting additional investigation, the attorney general is not under investigation for false statements or perjury in his confirmation hearing testimony and related written submissions to Congress,” attorney Chuck Cooper told ABC News on Wednesday.

The opening paragraph could also be interpreted to imply that Jeff Sessions fired Andrew McCabe as retribution for opening up an investigation into him but the story goes on to say that the Attorney General did not know about the investigation.

One source told ABC News that Sessions was not aware of the investigation when he decided to fire McCabe last Friday

Following Andrew McCabe’s dismissal Adam Schiff said, and I am paraphrasing, even if Andrew McCabe’s firing was justified it could be tainted. That statement seemed to be odd at the time but perhaps this is what he was talking about.

If so there is really nothing here. It is an attempt to make a story where there is no story but that will not stop other so-called news agencies from running with this.

If sanity and virtue were required, how many would still be retaining their position of power and authority?

McCabe was nothing more than a rogue, crooked, cop with an FBI badge. The USAG, should go after McCabe with everything he has, and put McCabe in prison, where any crooked cop would expect to be.

Thank you for the reblog. I would love to see them go after McCabe and the rest of them but somehow I don’t think that is going to happen.

You’re welcome, and, they might not have any other choice but to seek criminal prosecution, or all the laws on all the books, mean nothing. In fact, the worst thing anyone can have, is a bad cop, city, state or federal, and if an example is not made of McCabe, then it is a green light for others to go corrupt.

I hope you are right that they will have no choice but to seek prosecution, an example must be made!

Agree. Exposing the ‘bad cops’ in all levels of the ‘system’, even the small town nearby is said to be “rotten in the core.”
The ‘youth’ are indoctrinated to think the ‘utopian globalist’ have the answer ~ everyone live in harmony under the leadership of the few, but we know that’s “bunk.” The very ones who shouldn’t be in positions of power & authority are, rather than being in prison or laid to rest (there’s no changing them over to the GOOD side and they’ll continue to pervert all they can).
The sickos are repulsive! making ‘dummy morons’ out of people in general, taking ownership of their indoctrinated school kids who they run – the administration & teachers. Utube shows all the ‘antics & sensationalism’ of youth being the ‘tools’ of manipulation and pushing their antigun laws and lifts it up as ‘Good’. The Social Media Pimps of ruin.

This vid is longer than it needs to be, but one parent questions “why 12 yr olds were allowed” to leave the class room and protest. Its Time for parents to step up and be “parents!!”
