Donald Trump threatens to shut down the government over border wall funding
July 29, 2018
Donald Trump took to Twitter today and threatened to shut down the government if he does not get funding for the border wall, an end to the VISA lottery, and more border security. Here is the tweet:
It will be interesting to see if he makes good on this threat because he has made the same threat before and backed down from it. Donald Trump’s problem is that there are not enough any establishment Republicans on his side who want to see any of these things, they favor the status quo, so the question is, who blinks first?

Let us hope they don’t mislead Trump with that $5 Billion wall amendment that includes the poison pill of permitting 35 million immigrants in… Now I guess the purpose of the amendment was to show that they were willing to fund the bill… not saying how atrocious the rest of it was.

Yeah, I am sure they will try to sneak something like that in the bill. The establishment Republicans want no part of a border wall, let alone stopping illegal immigration so this is an uphill battle I don’t see him winning.

Off the topic, but this is totally out of control.

Missouri congressional candidate Austin Petersen has received a 12-hour suspension from Twitter for tweeting a GIF of Joseph Stalin.
Petersen received this suspension after a writer for the left-leaning PAC, ShareBlue, alluded to Petersen having connections to the Russian hacking of Senator Claire McCaskill in August of 2017 because Petersen’s campaign accepts bitcoin.

It is getting out of control! These people are trying to stifle opposing points of view by calling them offensive and getting them banned from social media. Trump has been successful using Twitter to bypass the MSM and they do not like it and that is why, I believe, there is this big push to reign in what can be said on social media.
