Sunday, September 16th open thread: Say Amen (Saturday Night)
Here is the open thread for Sunday, September 16th. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.
Last week we discussed 5 stories, did you miss any of them? If so there is an easy way to make sure it does not happen again. You can subscribe to America’s Watchtower to receive email updates. You can also follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. The Twitter widget in the sidebar is fully interactive and updates my tweets in real time, and it allows you to respond or retweet my tweets right from the blog.
I had my follow up appointment with the cardiac surgical team yesterday and I do not think it could have gone any better. Everything looks good and I feel great! I can now drive again and I can now lift up to 20 pounds. In November the weight restriction will be lifted and I go back to work on October 8th. I will be starting a cardiac rehab exercise program probably this week in addition to my daily walks.
Here is Panic! At the Disco performing their new song “Say Amen (Saturday Night)” live from not all that long ago.

Glad to hear you’re coming along so well Steve. Our physical hearts are important as well as the well+being of the hearts of our spirits & souls, all work together for a healthy individual. 😊
Recently I took a road trip AZ, NM, CO, UT. btw any road on the internet map starting w/ a “C” means ‘four wheel road’! I thought it stood for County Road (paved 2 lane, but no) I discovered – via a person who knew! – that those roads are chanc-ie and best! My planned 6 hr drive turned out to be more 10+ w/ many Mtn. passes (11,000′ etc) 😬
The time away from “propaganda news” was refreshing. Witnessing for myself the ‘reality’ of people and going ons in different places. I find that most people are ‘very civil’ (regular) just want to live good lives (basic) and be a “plus” in this world, be appreciated, acknowledge for who they are (God given ~ although most don’t ‘see’ it that way).
I held the door for one ‘child adult’ who was totally oblivious and ungracious, yet another one around the same age, made the point of opening the hotel door open for me carrying my bags. I talked w/ him that morning and found that he lived in LA, wanting to ‘get away’ (biking w/ his cute doggie Chester 🙂 An insightful young man coming to age of ‘reasoning & understanding for himself’ (knowing “somethings” wrong with the ‘way’ things are there :). The missing Golden Rule ~ and not even close to the “Royal Rule”! Some have been “raised” to think those high standards being for ‘chumps’ and chumps are to “used and abused” for personal gain, regardless.
The saying “It is what it is” was stated a few times, to the point that it got me thinking: Does it have to ‘be or stay that way?’ I determined: No, not if people choose to ‘change’ it. Usually its “negative” – and a sign of successful “brainwashing” when accepted “as the way it is.” No Greatness ever came from that ‘thinking’ ~ only slavery.
While in ABQ, NM there are homeless sitting on the corners of the main stream (apropos) streets at the traffic lights, w/ their crummy cardboard signs asking for $$ from passerby’s. It’s illegal I heard but the law isn’t upheld – deep state controlled – and its under ‘organized crime’ so police / gov. workers are being paid off to allow it. Those ‘asleep to the conner’s’ believe it because ‘lack of police’, but that’s a lie (liars always want others to believe their lies). The homeless ‘rent that space’. It would be interesting to find out more about it. That ‘kind of lawlessness’ shows a “sick spirit” ruling in those communities that need to be ‘booted OUT!’ Constance maintenance: Restoring the Good and purging the trash!

Thanks, I feel great! Better than I have in a long time although I didn’t realize it before. I am glad to hear you had a safe trip and are home safely now.
I gave up watching the news quite awhile ago and am much happier now that I have. The news focuses on the bad things such as the protesters and the resistance and they try to make it seem as if that is how most people are. But as you found out most people are not that way, they just want to live their lives and get along and that is what I see as well. The average people are not as divided as the media wants us to believe.
