Jerry Nadler reaches a deal with William Barr on the Mueller report
After having been disappointed by the Mueller report’s vindication of the President the Democrats decided the report was not good enough. So after months of waiting on the report and warning Republicans not to reject its finding the Democrats rejected its findings and demanded the underlying documents used in the Mueller report.
William Barr has refused to turn over the documents and Jerry Nadler threatened to hold the Attorney General in Contempt of the Congress but it is now being reported here that the two men have reached an agreement. Here is more:
The chairman of the House Judiciary Committee says the Justice Department has agreed to turn over some of the underlying evidence from special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, including files used to assess whether President Donald Trump obstructed justice.
Rep. Jerrold Nadler says the department will begin complying with the committee’s subpoena Monday and provide some of Mueller’s “most important files.” He said all the members of the committee will be able to view them.
The Justice Department did not have an immediate comment.
In response to the agreement, Nadler said the panel will not hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt, for now. But the House is still expected to vote on a resolution Tuesday that would empower the committee to file a lawsuit for the materials.
I am sure you noticed the “for now” in that statement as well as the fact the committee is still going through the procedures necessary to file a lawsuit for documents. I think we all know that no matter what William Barr turns over to the committee it will not be enough to satisfy their lust for vengeance against the man who dared to beat the chosen one in 2016.
malo periculosam libertatem quam quietum servitium
I am surprised….unless Nadler got the word from Pelosi…. I watched enough of the hearing today that it was a dog and pony show.. Confirmed today that the IG report will not be coming out any time soon… so the band plays on…as the Titanic sinks.

I had heard the IG report was delayed and I also heard Wray was stonewalling its release. So disappointing, it looks like we are never going to see what they came up with.
