Is Donald Trump considering using Amazon and Google for gun background checks?
Many of you know how I feel about Donald Trump and the Second Amendment: The man had been a New York liberal for most of his life until he ran for President and I do not trust him on the Second Amendment.
For the most part he has stayed away from the Second Amendment but he has shown signs of cracking. Most people gave him a pass when he took his pen and his phone and banned bump stocks by Executive fiat in Obama-esque fashion, but now it looks like he is on board with so-called “red flag” gun laws.
As I have written about several times before the so-called “red flag” laws are themselves a red flag because the potential for abuse is great. But we know there are cases where people have stayed in an abusive relationship until it was too late simply because they either loved the person or were too fearful to ask for help.
Well, leave it to the government to come up with a solution for that. Most people have voluntarily added spying devices to their homes, we usually call them names like “Amazon Echo,” “Siri,” and the like, why not use them to record what is going on in your home and report you if it does not like what it hears and does not think you should own a gun?
According to this article Donald Trump likes this idea, here is more:
The Trump administration is considering a proposal that would use Google, Amazon and Apple to collect data on users who exhibit characteristics of mental illness that could lead to violent behavior, The Washington Post reported Thursday.
The proposal is part of an initiative to create a Health Advanced Research Projects Agency (HARPA), which would be located inside the Health and Human Services Department, the report notes, citing sources inside the administration. The new agency would have a separate budget and the president would be responsible for appointing its director.
HARPA would take after Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or DARPA, which serves as the research arm for the Pentagon. The idea was first crafted in 2017 but has since gotten a renewed push after mass shootings killed 31 people in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, in August.
HARPA would develop “breakthrough technologies with high specificity and sensitivity for early diagnosis of neuropsychiatric violence,” according to a copy of the proposal. “A multi-modality solution, along with real-time data analytics, is needed to achieve such an accurate diagnosis.”
There you have it. The article goes on to say the program will be voluntary but let me ask a stupid question. How many people who are prone to committing domestic violence are voluntarily going to sign up for this? Exactly, which means eventually the program will not be voluntary.
It was only a matter of time before the government began abusing these devices so this is not surprising to many of us. This is how it always works with the government, once they get a foot in the door the government slowly takes more and more and now it looks like they are already looking to strengthen the “red flag” laws and they have not even passed yet. And we have not even mentioned that these devices are all owned by alt-left radicals who might just have an ulterior motive…

Newsflash: Red Flag Laws are already being enforced across the country, even in some die hard Red States. My advice is still the same: Stay off Social Media, Do NOT advertise anything about Firearms on your vehicle or person and Keep your Personal Business to yourself…Big Brother is listening and watching 24/7.

She’s rich enough to have someone else bake those cookies leaving her plenty of time to whisper in daddy’s ear. Along with so many others Ivanka is just one more fly in the ointment with an agenda. The rhetorical question remains as always, “Why?”
