Homeland Security denies rumor of national shutdown

March 22, 2020

There have been some pretty scary rumors out there about a totalitarian national lockdown but the Department of Homeland Security is denying that this is something under consideration by Donald Trump and his administration.

  Here is more:

Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf on Saturday shot down rumors of a potential national lockdown because of the coronavirus, saying that there are no such plans and that such rumors are “disinformation.”

“It’s simply not true,” Wolf said on Fox & Friends. “What we see is a lot of disinformation campaigns via text, via social media, so we want to make sure we refute those, knock those down… a lot of this information is just that: disinformation.”

“We want to make sure that individuals are getting information from trusted sources, so those are your state and federal officials, and we’re asking them not to spread this information around,” he said.

“So we have no plans for a national lockdown or a national quarantine, and again it’s just that — its disinformation.”

It is up to you to determine for yourself if you think you can believe the Federal Government, I for one stopped many years ago, but do not forget the Department of Justice is not denying the report that it is seeking broad emergency powers which include the indefinite detention of Americans during this and any following crises like say, oh I don’t know, a gun violence crisis when a Democrat takes over the Presidency in January.

Policy established when your team has the ball may sound good at the time but please remember one thing: Duck hunting is fun until such time that the ducks have guns.

This is not the end of days nor is it a really deadly virus. You have to remember that only people who are symptomatic are tested for the virus. The vast majority of those who contract the virus have few symptoms at all and in the course of a couple of weeks they clear the virus from their systems without anyone being the wiser.

I figure that the statistics have to be off by a factor of 4 minimum so the actual number of people who actually catch Coronavirus and massively higher than the reported numbers. What this means is that the rate of mortality resulting from this virus is ridiculously small at around .3% and we have to remember that those who do die of complications due to the virus statistically have a higher proportion of mitigating causes such as cancer, COPD, and other health concerns that put them at risk.

Ultimately the real response should have been to act to protect those at risk and not the general population who honestly have little to fear and especially as compared to the seasonal flu we ALWAYS HAVE EVERY YEAR. By ramping up the fear we get the hysterical hoarding and behaviors of people who are literally at no risk at all.

My son runs a retail store that has ten employees. His chain office told him to shut down the store. Of his employees, the only one in an absolute panic is the 21 year old part time young woman who is scared that she may get the virus and die even though she is absolutely healthy and has no reason to fear. Contrast this with his other older employees some of whom have respiratory issues who could care less about the virus and are more concerned about lost wages.

The millennial generation onward are a bunch of pampered children who want to be taken care of and this is the Bernie Sanders type that will eventually vote this nation into the gulag.

Thanks for all that information. I think you are right on when it comes to the young ones and the panic the MSM has cause them to get into.

The Great Depression gave us FDR and the groundwork for the creeping socialism here over the last 75 years. And let’s give credit where credit is due. The republicans in Congress and the Oval Office spread their cheeks for most of those years. And now should the left defeat Trump and take over the Senate come November, thanks in most part to the economic downturn due to the virus, may apply the coup d’ etat to our constitutional republic.

That’s what I am thinking as well and I think this does spell the end of Trump’s presidency. If so this is just the beginning.

In all honesty, the deep state wins in this entire scenario no matter how it goes. Whether it is found out that the Russians are planting dis-information; that the epidemic is worse or not as bad as it seems; whether they declare some sort of forced shutdown across the nation; or any other action or result. the deep state will simply spew out the data that supports the actions taken thereby making it stronger and giving it more control.

The Coronavirus is a symptom and not the problem. The problem is the nature of the 20-50 year olds who have been indoctrinated with the idea that the government is the solution no matter what the problem is. As long as people look to Washington instead of their own abilities and personal alliances this nation will continue down this slippery path to socialism. That is my fear and my generations failure.

Not surprising, and that means the media and the Democrats are on Russia’s side!
