William Barr compares COVID-19 lock down orders to slavery

September 17, 2020

Last night William Barr had some strong words to say about the COVID-19 lock down orders, saying they were the greatest threat to civil liberty since slavery. Here is more:

During an appearance in northern Virginia Wednesday, Barr railed against state-issued coronavirus-related lockdown orders, declaring that they were surpassed only by slavery as a historic intrusion on civil liberties.

“You know, putting a national lockdown, stay-at-home orders, is like house arrest. It’s — you know, other than slavery, which was a different kind of restraint, this is the greatest intrusion on civil liberties in American history,” Barr said during a question-and-answer session following his remarks.

He is now coming under fire from the left for these comments and I believe he should. But for a different reason than what the left is supposedly offended by.

If you are in a position of power, say you were the top law enforcement agent in the nation, and you felt these lock down orders were a violation of our constitutional rights why did you sit idly by and do nothing about it as Americans lost their jobs, their freedom, their sense of independence, their dignity, their right to assemble, and their right to worship? You sir are a fraud.

Bingo…but then he knows he is coming to the end of his career and did nothing to insure that justice would be had for Trump. After all he said one of his best friends was Mueller. He did nothing to reign in Wray or in anyway assist and giving up the documents that would have revealed all.

Tough call on this one. I listened to him make this statement. The left proves again that they are both liars, and insane. Since the left no longer teaches english or grammer, and since journalists no longer value honesty, his CLEAR statement separating slavery from the discussion is ignored. “OTHER than slavery”, a very clear phrase showing a clear distinction.
As for your condemnation for inaction, I don’t know. With Woodward’s new book accusing Trump of inaction, and Pelosi accusing the Trump administration of murder, I’m not sure Barr was either the person, or in the place to have taken this stand previously.

Yep, I agree Peter, ‘what – in his power – could he do’? Maybe alot .. I don’t know. Durham’s evidence is suppose to tie it all up in a nice bow so no one can slither out of GITMO (or wherever – death penalty is alive and well today again for such crimes)
I think what’s upsetting you Steve, and many of us, is they have the evidence to ‘condemn them’ “lock um the 🐍💩👿👹 up” but the ‘delay’ is so long we wonder if it’ll really happen.
(What can be expected from ‘sinners’ though💀 – no excuse just a statement)
I do notice his remarks rattled the ‘snake den of thieves & insane’ who are ‘ridiculing and hissing’ ravenous at him 🤣 He was successful there!
When people get ‘blinded by emotional rage’ it’s easier to set another trap or hole for them to fall in. Could be another PsyOp. Maybe they’ll be caught and stopped before preforming another FF – arranged to steal from & enslave people even more! It is like Slavery – Commie/Nazi style & orchestrated for World Domination – another Pinky & The Brain god complex. 🚮

We keep hearing the Durham has the evidence and that it will be coming out soon and yet nothing ever happens. I believe they are all talk and no action and I expect it all to be delayed until after the election in the hope that Trump will not be reelected so they can make it all disappear.

        Yep, I ‘hear’ you.
I know what you mean about Barr Steve – not trusting him ‘to do right’.
Recently the 14 Amendment of the Constitution is being Hi-lighted.

You nailed it about the distinction he drew between slavery and this issue and the left knows what he was saying but they choose to twist his words for their agenda.
Personally I do not trust the guy and I never have.
