Sunday, January 10th open thread: ‘Hail to the King’

January 10, 2021

“This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24 KJV)

Here is this week’s open thread. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.

Here is Avenged Sevenfold performing “Hail to the King” live in 2014:

Watch your tongue or have it cut from your head
Save your life by keeping whispers unsaid
Children roam the streets now orphans of war
Bodies hangin’ in the streets to adore
Royal flames will carve a path in chaos
Bringing daylight to the night (night)
Death is riding into town with armor
They’ve come to take all your rights

“Hail to the King
Hail to the one
Kneel to the crown
Stand in the sun
Hail to the King”

Executive Order 9066 orders People of Color to concentration camps due to pigment based loyalty questions. Progressives from New York have been up to this kind of nefarious activity for a long time. And they feel fully entitled to do so. Cuomo marches in lock step with previous NY High Commissars.

Here is another one for you while we are on the subject of those who lack self awareness:

In this article, the poser (not writer) poses a theory that the liberty movement aka the Tea Party (make that largely plural) led to “Trumpism.” I wonder how he would respond if asked to pose on the subject of the Progressive New Left having taken over the Democrat Party. You know, the formerly SDS kids who rejected America and bonded with Marxism and who actually did do the long march through the institutions to destroy the American Republic.? I think I would get a blank blue book in return for that assignment.

Interesting article, thanks for sharing it. Of course it would be nice if they were critical of the other side as well but of course they ignore it.

Critical Theory has long since displaced Critical Thinking in our pubic education leviathan. A free republic cannot stand if a once free people cannot discern the true from the false, the good from the evil, the beautiful from the frightful.

They no longer teach our children how to think for themselves, school is nothing but indoctrination!

Just a quick note on the silencing of opposing voices: Parler is down as of 4 am Mountain Time. Amazon strikes. So would someone please explain that whole Antitrust thing to me? I went to a real graduate school, not a MBA vocational school.

I believe Parler has filed an anti-trust lawsuit, it seems like this is something they should win but I have no faith in the courts any more.

I look at the history of antitrust actions against the IT industry. Zero impact. They have enough money and enough bought political support to buy law. And they have. I have no faith in any agency or branch of the federal government to defend liberty or any sensible notion of law.
