Donald Trump signs Executive Order in support of black colleges

February 28, 2017

Donald Trump spent the day narrative-busting: First he signed two bills designed to help women with science degrees and then he signed an Executive Order in support of black colleges.

  Here is more:

President Trump signed an executive order Tuesday aimed at boosting his administration’s support for historically black colleges, as he seeks a closer relationship with the schools than President Obama had.

The president approved a measure that will move the government’s program for promoting historically black colleges and universities, called HBCUs, from the Education Department to direct oversight by the White House.

“Education has the power to uplift, it has the power to transform and perhaps most important education has the power to create greater equality and justice in our lives,” Mr. Trump said in a signing ceremony in the Oval Office with the leaders of about 20 schools. “That’s why today I am thrilled to be signing an executive order to recognize the importance of historically black colleges and universities, very important. They have played such an important role in achieving progress for African Americans in our nation’s march for justice.”

He said HBCUs “really have been pillars of the African American community for more than 150 years … and a grand and enduring symbol of America at its absolute best.”

“With this executive order, we will make HBCUs a priority in the White House, an absolute priority,” the president said.

It looks as though the White House will now have oversight over the program to promote HBCUs instead of the Department of Education and I am sure that is not going to sit well with the left–but then again they probably do not even know about this because they are too busy bashing KellyAnne Conway for having the audacity to put her feet on a couch.

Donald Trump signs two bills to help women in STEM Fields

February 28, 2017

While the mainstream media and misogynistic Democrats were busy bashing KellyAnne Conway for not behaving the way they think a woman should behave Donald Trump was busy signing two bills that will help women in the science fields.

President Donald Trump signed into law two bills on Tuesday aimed at encouraging women to pursue careers in science and business fields.

“Today I’m signing two bills that promote women entering and leading the STEM fields – science, technology, engineering, and math. Currently, only one in four women who gets a STEM degree is working in a STEM job – which is not fair, and it’s not even smart for the people that aren’t taking advantage of it,” Trump said.

“It’s unacceptable that we have so many American women who have these degrees but yet are not being employed in these fields, so I think that’s going to change, and it’s going to change very rapidly. Protecting women with STEM degrees and all Americans with STEM degrees – very important, but it also means you have to crackdown on offshoring, because the offshoring is a tremendous problem that displaces many of our American workers and brains, the brain power,” he said.

  Here is more:

“Inspiring the Next Space Pioneers, Innovators, Researchers, and Explorers (INSPIRE) Women Act” (H.R. 321) directs NASA “to encourage women and girls to study science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), pursue careers in aerospace, and further advance the nation’s space science and exploration efforts through support of the following initiatives: NASA GIRLS and NASA BOYS; Aspire to Inspire; and Summer Institute in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Research.”

The “Promoting Women in Entrepreneurship Act” (H.R. 255) “amends the Science and Engineering Equal Opportunities Act to authorize the National Science Foundation to encourage its entrepreneurial programs to recruit and support women to extend their focus beyond the laboratory and into the commercial world.”

But of course this does not fit the narrative so instead of focusing on this the left has, ironically, spent the day bashing the first woman to ever successfully run a Presidential campaign…

The White House releases budget blueprint

February 27, 2017

Earlier today the White House released its budget blueprint. Of course it is still short on details, that will have to be worked out by the Congress, but we are beginning to get a grip on Donald Trump’s ideas on the national budget and it looks to me as if there are things in there which will make conservatives happy as well as things that will not make them happy. The same might be said for the left but the party of no is just not going to admit it might not be all bad. (IE no cuts to Social Security or Medicare)

Donald Trump intends to increase spending on the military (although not enough for warmonger John McCain’s liking) while offsetting the spending with domestic cuts to the State Department, the EPA, and other agencies while leaving Social Security and Medicare alone. Here is more:

Donald Trump bans CNN, The New York Times, and Politico from press briefing

February 24, 2017

The mainstream media is up in arms because Donald Trump banned CNN, Politico, and The New York Times from a press briefing earlier today. CNN went so far as to claim Donald Trump was “cherry picking” questions. To be honest I am not in favor of banning these organizations, I would rather the administration take them on face to face, however the left is acting as if nothing like this has ever happened before.

But it has, and not all that long ago. I still remember Barack Obama saying people who watched Fox News (he did not name Fox News but everybody knew who he was talking about) the wrong news organization and I remember him not taking questions from Fox News. The mainstream media has been upset at the Trump administration for not taking questions from liberal news outlets at his press conferences but they seem to have forgotten about this. But this is only the beginning…

On the issue of “cherry picking” the New York Times once reported this about Barack Obama:

Obamacare repeal stalls in the Congress

February 23, 2017

One of the top priorities (so we were told) of the Republican party with a Republican President was to repeal Obamacare. I have been saying for years that Obamacare was never going to be repealed, the last chance to repeal Obamacare died alongside Mitt Romney’s candidacy. And now the repeal effort has been stalled in the Congress.

The Republicans have vowed to repeal Obamacare since it was rammed through the Congress using parliamentary gimmicks and they have actually passed dozens of repeal bills while Barack Obama was President but they cannot pass even one now that they are in power.

Maxine Waters calls some Trump administration officials a “bunch of scumbags”

February 22, 2017

I still remember the time not all that long ago when Democrats were all up in arms at the attacks Barack Obama was taking from the right on a daily basis. Some of the so-called attacks were legitimate but the ones that really irritated the left were the personal attacks–such as the “birther” issue and the “Obama is a Muslim” issue. Some compared Barack Obama to Hitler and called him a Fascist and we were told this was way beyond the line–the office of the President should be honored even if the man is not. Of course many of these same people compared George Bush to Hitler and called him a Fascist but let that go…

Apparently times have changed because now it is en-vogue to call the President a Fascist and compare him to Hitler and we see it on a daily basis. Now Maxine Waters has entered the fray with a personal attack on Donald Trump’s cabinet members–calling them all “scumbags.” Here is more:

New Hampshire Governor signs Constitutional carry into law

February 22, 2017

A couple of weeks ago the New Hampshire House passed a Constitutional carry bill and it was sent to the Governor’s desk for his signature. I was getting a little worried because while Governor Sununu had previously stated his support for the legislation I found it odd he  had not as of yet signed the bill. I was beginning to think he was having second thoughts but my worries were short-lived because today Constitutional carry became the law in the State of New Hampshire. Law abiding citizens of the State will now be allowed to carry concealed without a permit and the change took place immediately.

  Here is more:

Republican Gov. Chris Sununu signed legislation Wednesday removing the requirement that people get a license from local officials to carry concealed guns.

The National Rifle Association says that makes New Hampshire the 11th state — including Vermont and Maine — that doesn’t require a license or permit in most cases. Sununu’s Democratic predecessor, now U.S. Sen. Maggie Hassan, vetoed similar legislation multiple times.

“This is about making sure that our laws on our books are keeping people safe while remaining true to that ‘live free or die’ spirit that makes New Hampshire the great state that it is,” Sununu said before signing the bill. He was flanked by gun rights activists and fellow Republican lawmakers.

Here in New Hampshire we could always carry a firearm open without a permit but a permit was required to carry a concealed weapon but today our Second Amendment right is no longer being infringed. The Second Amendment is our concealed carry permit.

MSNBC host claims it is the media’s job to control what people think

February 22, 2017

Here at America’s Watchtower we have often talked about how the mainstream media no longer reports the news but instead tries to create the news to push an agenda. Polls are used in the same way as well. But it is not very often the mainstream media actually admits what it is up to. Today that changed when MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski, most likely fueled by her anti-Trump bias, actually admitted it was the media’s job to control what people think. Here is the clip:

NOAA lost global warming data when the agency’s computer crashed

February 21, 2017

We have known for quite some time that NOAA and NASA were fudging the global temperatures in order to “hide the decline” and to “prove” the 97% lieSome of this was confirmed when a NOAA whistle-blower came forth and admitted the agency fudged the numbers heading into the United Nations global warming summit of 2015 in order to push its agenda.

And now we are learning, according to this story, that NOAA lost some of the agency’s data when their computers crashed because the agency was not using the proper protocol to back up the data. Here is more:

In a second breach of agency protocol, the scientists involved, led by Tom Karl, failed to properly archive and store their datasets for testing and public disclosure.

Subsequently, some of the original datasets were lost when the computer used to process the data suffered a complete failure.

Here is some of what NOAA was up to before their computer conveniently crashed:
