There has never been a real democracy, and there never will be…
The Founding Fathers of the United States of America took great pains to create a republic because if there was a system of government they feared almost as much as the monarchy which they unburdened themselves from it was democracy for they felt it was nothing but a tyranny of the majority over the minority.
Yet today most people believe the United States of America was founded as a democracy; it is true that over the years the country has become more democratic than republican but that was not the intent.

The Fort Hood victims will be awarded Purple Hearts
When the Obama regime, for purely political reasons, classified the Fort Hood terrorist attack as a case of “workplace violence” the victims of that attack were denied Purple Hearts.
Now according to this story the victims will finally receive what is rightfully theirs because the Congress has changed the Purple Heart criteria.

The U.S. Army announced Friday that it will award the Purple Heart to the victims of the 2009 Fort Hood killings after years of pressure to designate the shooting as a terrorist attack.
Army Secretary John McHugh said presenting the Purple Heart to victims is “an appropriate recognition of their service and sacrifice.”
“The Purple Heart’s strict eligibility criteria had prevented us from awarding it to victims of the horrific attack at Fort Hood,” Mr. McHugh said in a Defense Department release. “Now that Congress has changed the criteria, we believe there is sufficient reason to allow these men and women to be awarded and recognized with either the Purple Heart or, in the case of civilians, the Defense of Freedom medal.”
The IRS rehires tax cheats and people who might have illegally accessed tax records
Last April ABC ran a report which found the IRS issued bonuses in the amount of $1,000,000 to employees who were delinquent on their own taxes. If you do not remember this story you can read about it here.
Now it is being reported in this story that the IRS has rehired hundreds of people with issues ranging from tax delinquency to people with poor job performance to people who might have illegally accessed tax records.

Scott Walker surges into the lead in the latest 2016 New Hampshire Republican primary Presidential poll
Before Mitt Romney made his official(?) announcement that he would not seek the Republican Presidential nomination in 2016 he had a slight lead over the other establishment candidate, Jeb Bush, in a New Hampshire poll.
It had been speculated that the establishment, not being split by two candidates, would coalesce around Jeb Bush but that does not seem to be the case to this point.
With an anti-establishment feeling within the Republican voters–which I believe the establishment is underestimating–and coupled with Scott Walker’s performance at the recent “Iowa Freedom Summit” he appears to be the main benefactor of Mitt Romney’s decision at this early date.
Now the latest New Hampshire poll is out and it shows Scott Walker surging to the lead in the first in the nation primary.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker leads a host of potential 2016 GOP presidential contenders in a new poll in the early presidential state of New Hampshire out Wednesday.
Mr. Walker leads the NH1 automated poll, conducted Feb. 2-3, with 21.2 percent of the vote, followed by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 14.4 percent, Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky at 8.3 percent, and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson at 8.2 percent.
Brian Williams apologizes for lying about being on a helicopter which was shot down in Iraq in 2003
After facing heat from veterans who were aboard a helicopter which was shot down in Iraq “NBC Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams admitted he was not on board the helicopter after years of claiming he was. He has now apologized.
“NBC Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams apologized Wednesday for falsely claiming that he had been aboard a helicopter that was shot down during the invasion of Iraq in 2003, Stars and Stripes reports.
On Friday night’s broadcast, Williams cited “a terrible moment a dozen years back during the invasion of Iraq when the helicopter we were traveling in was forced down after being hit by an RPG. Our traveling NBC News team was rescued, surrounded and kept alive by an armor mechanized platoon from the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry.”
One crew member responded to the story on Facebook the following day, writing to Williams, “Sorry dude, I don’t remember you being on my aircraft. I do remember you walking up about an hour after we had landed to ask me what had happened.”
This week, crew members of 159th Aviation Regiment’s Chinook helicopter also told Stars and Stripes that Williams had not been in the shot-down helicopter but had arrived an hour later.
On Wednesday, Williams conceded that he was not onboard the shot-down helicopter, but he told Stars and Stripes he did not intentionally make the mistake.
“I would not have chosen to make this mistake,” Williams said. “I don’t know what screwed up in my mind that caused me to conflate one aircraft with another.”
He admitted he made a “mistake” and stated that he did not what “screwed up” in his mind that made him think he was on a helicopter which he was not on. Read more…
According to this story the Congress of the United States has been using EB-5 visas to allow foreign investors to jump to the front of the visa line. If a foreign investor is willing to invest $500,000 in a United States company they are eligible for these visas.
This sounds more or less like a bribe to me which allows wealthy foreign donors access into the country while others languish as these people move ahead in line. I am not alone in this line of thinking:
Some immigration groups have criticized the program as “nothing more than selling Green Cards.” Brent Wilkes, the executive director of the League of United Latin American Citizens, one of the largest Hispanic civil rights groups in the U.S. said it “short circuits” the immigration process, allowing foreign nationals “with enough cash” to leap ahead of legitimate applicants who lack the means.
This is being hailed as being good for the country by supporters because it will create jobs but of course this means that some shady characters are having red flags ignored and it appears as if some who were previously turned down have now been granted visas because, for all intents and purposes, they bought their way in.
CNN contributor admits CNN has an anti-Republican bias
During a segment on NewsmaxTV a CNN contributor, Ruben Navarrette, was weighing in on Mitt Romney’s announcement that he would not be running for President in 2016 and how he believes this decision will help Marco Rubio more so than Jeb Bush.
During this segment he stated that MSNBC and Univision are precisely what many of us claim they are–namely the propaganda arm of the Democratic party.
However, when pressed on this issue by the host who stated many of the major networks seem to have an anti-Republican agenda he was offered the opportunity to exclude CNN from that list but refused to do so.

It has been awhile since we had a Joe Biden gaffe to talk about but the drought came to an end today when he admitted the past six years of Barack Obama’s Presidency have been “really, really hard for this country.”
Here is what he had to say:
“To state the obvious, the past six years have been really, really hard for this country.”
“And they’ve been really tough for our party. Just ask [former DCCC chair] Steve [Israel]. They’ve been really tough for our party. And together we made some really, really tough decisions — decisions that weren’t at all popular, hard to explain.”
