Did you know America’s founding fathers were Nazis?

November 23, 2012

Did you know that America’s founding fathers were Nazis? Neither did I but that is what one University of Texas professor, Robert Jensen, is teaching his students:

How does a country deal with the fact that some of its most revered historical figures had certain moral values and political views virtually identical to Nazis?

He went on to claim that Thanksgiving was a “white supremacist holiday” which is a position that I think Abraham Lincoln would find interesting considering he proclaimed a national day of Thanksgiving in 1863 and this tradition was upheld until liberal icon FDR actually signed into law a national day of Thanksgiving on the fourth Thursday of November, making it an official holiday for the first time. Surely Mr. Jensen wouldn’t consider these two men to be white supremacists, would he?

But what I would really like to know is what Mr. Jensen’s position on Planned Parenthood is because, as we all know, Planned Parenthood’s founder–Margaret Sanger–was an avowed eugenicist and an actual Nazi sympathizer who created the organization to help eradicate what she thought of as the problem of the brown and yellow races because she in fact was a white supremacist.

Somehow I think Mr. Jensen is a supporter of Margaret Sanger which in fact means that he is a supporter of white supremacy.

John Boehner says Obamacare will be on the table during the fiscal cliff talks

November 22, 2012

John Boehner is claiming that Obamacare will be on the table during the upcoming fiscal cliff negotiations, to which I say; yeah right!

John Boehner is now taking a stand which he knows will be popular with the base, but it is a position he knows will never amount to anything even as he spouts this nonsense.

Immediately after the election John Boehner admitted that Obamacare was the law of the land–and he was right–there is no backing away from this now. The American people have voted and they have declared–whether they know it or not–that they support Barack Obama’s signature tax increase legislation and there is nothing that John Boehner can do about it despite his posturing.

Sure the House could defund it, but if that were a real option it would have happened already and it didn’t. We will all now live with the ramifications of our vote on November 6th for better or for worse, Obamacare will remain intact, and the tax increases associated with the legislation will be implemented.

I have one thing to say to John Boehner; please do not insult our intelligence by stating you are going to fight against Obamacare during the fiscal cliff negotiations because we know better. You may talk a good game now, but talk is cheap and when push comes to shove Barack Obama will out maneuver you and you will blink just as you always do.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody

November 22, 2012

Just wanted to take a few minutes this morning to wish everyone out there a Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you all spend your day with family and loved ones and have a great day. Please remember those who are away from home serving our country, and the families they have left behind, who will not be able to spend this day together. It is because of them that we can.

Obamacare: Pennsylvania college to cut instructors’ hours to avoid healthcare reform law

November 22, 2012

We have already seen a trend in the restaurant business; employees are having their hours cut so that the owners of these restaurants can avoid paying the Obamacare tax for not providing its employees with healthcare coverage it cannot afford. Now this trend is beginning to spread into other areas as people look to avoid Barack Obama’s signature tax increase.

Today it is being reported that Pennsylvania Community College will be slashing the hours of some of its instructors as a result of Obamacare because it simply cannot afford to provide these employees with healthcare: Read more…

Bob Beckel has a theory about why people become nudists

November 21, 2012

San Francisco had a nudist problem so earlier this week they took action and banned public nudity despite opposition which claimed the legislation was intolerant and a violation of the freedom of speech.

Democrat pundit and strategist, Bob Beckel, was asked what he thought the reason is that some people decide to become nudists as adults when he appeared on Fox News the other night and his answer might shock you.

Director of National Intelligence edited the Benghazi talking points

November 20, 2012

While testifying under oath last week David Petraeus stated that he knew the attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi was a terrorist attack almost immediately. He also stated that the original talking points memo the CIA  drew up about the attack contained references to the attack being related to al Qaeda but that someone edited the memo prior to the White House sending out Susan Rice to advance the cover up.

The White House has denied any role in the cover up and now according to this story we are learning that it was someone in the DNI who changed the talking points memo.

We are now being told the reason for the change is because the al Qaeda connection was still “tenuous” five days later even though David Petraeus, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton knew the truth almost immediately. We know the real reason why the terrorist link was omitted so shortly before the election, and it had nothing to do with the link being tenuous, but now that we know who edited the memo it is time to move on to the more important questions surrounding the terrorist attack in Benghazi because the cover up–while bad enough–isn’t the most important question here.

Proposed Senate bill will allow the federal government access to private emails without a warrant

November 20, 2012

Last year the House passed a bill which would limit government access to private emails and electronic correspondence of private citizens and the Senate was set to debate  Patrick Leahy’s version of the bill until law enforcement agencies and the Justice Department voiced their displeasure.

According to this article Patrick Leahy postponed the vote in order to quietly rewrite the bill and even though it is being billed as an attempt to protect the privacy of American citizens it now appears to do just the opposite because it will give 22 government agencies the ability to spy on Americans emails without a search warrant. Is the fight still worth it? Yes it is!

November 19, 2012

In the immediate aftermath of Barack Obama’s reelection my first instinct was to rally the troops which I thought were ready to give up because I was still not ready to give up, but I have had this nagging feeling in my head for quite some time that I haven’t been able to shake.

This feeling boiled over today when I read some comments on my open thread from last Sunday and this is what I finally admitted to the regular readers of America’s Watchtower:

After the election I decided it was time to rally the troops who were thinking about giving up, but now I have realized that I am also losing the urge to fight. Even as I write posts I find myself asking myself why I am bothering at this point because it seems hopeless. I used to write thinking I could make a small difference but now I find myself questioning the point of it all, the fight is disappearing and is being replaced with a sense of inevitability of things to come that I just can’t shake. Part of me now feels as if we should just give Obama everything he wants because perhaps the total collapse of the economy is what it is going to take for people to wake up but I know in my heart that is the wrong approach.
Don’t worry, I will never give up the fight because I believe in the cause, I just question now if it is all worth it anymore. I keep asking myself if I am fighting a losing battle and wondering if the fight is already lost and I am just the last one to realize it.
I apologize for being such a downer and pledge to keep fighting to the bitter end, whenever that might be. I am just to stubborn to approach it any other way.

I have had this sinking feeling that while we did all that we could to stave off the coming storm we failed, and even as I continue to cover the Obama regime and what I believe is their malfeasance and intransigence, that the battle may have been lost forever on November 6th. The passion I once found while posting was replaced by a sense of inevitability of what is to come. I once thought I could make a difference but that has been replaced by a feeling of inadequacy which I just can’t shake. I don’t know where we go from here and it is so damned frustrating to see the country move in a direction with which I am so opposed.

In Burma Barack Obama states he wishes he could impose his will on the Congress

November 19, 2012

In Burma today Barack Obama gave a gaffe laden speech which rivals Mitt Romney’s supposed gaffe filled European tour during the campaign and in this speech he said something that I found to be quite interesting:

Now, on other hand, as President, I cannot just impose my will on Congress — the Congress of the United States — even though sometimes I wish I could

This isn’t the first time Barack Obama has stated in public that he wishes he had more dictatorial powers; he said much the same thing when speaking to La Razza on July 25th of last year when he stated the following:

The idea of doing things on my own is very tempting, I promise you, not just on immigration reform. But that’s not how our system works. That’s not how our democracy functions

Then less than one year later Barack Obama did do things on his own when he implemented the DREAM Act through Executive Order bypassing the authority of the Congress. He found the temptation to great to ignore.

We also know that the EPA is working on passing Barack Obama’s radical Cap and Trade policy, going so far as to hide their intentions using fake email accounts, without the approval of the Congress. And we now the FCC is looking at implementing net neutrality without the approval of the Congress.

It makes you wonder what exactly Barack Obama had in mind when he made this statement today for we know he doesn’t give a damn about Congressional power or the checks and balances the Congress is supposed to provide…..
